Frankie Payne couldn’t bring herself to look at her prisoner. Eyes closed her head bowed.

“You did good,” Tony Blane whispered into her ear. “Real good, babe.” She hated that pet name.

One of Tony’s arms was metal, iron. His left side of the face scarred up. Never said what happened to him.

Of course the tall, thin, woman wasn’t much not the looks department herself. Her hair was a duo-tone mix of red and orange. Eyes brown. And thanks to her father she could change forms. Her Father, Preston Payne, the first Clay face.

Tony drew her close. “I don’t know why you’re so upset.”

“He was trying to be my friend.” Frankie said.

Tony laughed. “Don’t be fooled, babe.”

Giggles of mirth came from the one dressed in a clown costume. The girl was bent down near the captive. Called herself Joker’s daughter, went by the name Luna.

“How is he Luna?” Frankie asked.

“Strong as a Titan.” Luna replied. Laughing she stood.

“No need to feel guilt babe, soon as his guardian – Bruce Wayne, pays the ransom, he’ll be set free.” Tony paused. “And he’ll never even know you did it.”

Luna laughed again. “Of course he won’t.” Something in her tone made Frankie nervous. “He’s sleeping, like a Robin in cold flight.”

“That makes no sense, Luna.” Tony said. He shook his head.

Frankie was to tired tie think on what Luna was saying. Pulling from Tony, she stared at their prisoner – Richard Grayson. Handsome young man, tough looking for a rich brat.

The crazy Clown girl moved to tony and Frankie. “How much did you love him?”

Tony laughed. “She couldn’t love him.” He smirked. “He’s a handsome, well-off runt.” He nodded to Frankie. “She has no power, no money, no status, and no looks.”

The look on Luna’s face was even more gut wrenching than Tony’s words.

Some nights back, in another form, Frankie had battled the young hero, Nightwing. A member of the hero group called the Titans. He told her she hung with the wrong crowd, should leave her evil actions before things went too far.

Almost as annoying as mom, and Mother would definitely not have liked her part in abducting Richard Grayson.

Frankie had been satisfied with her greasy spoon job at Mel’s Diner. Occasionally Richard and some of his friends came in, why they would eat at Mel’s she always wondered.

His friends, two more pretty boys, Roy Harper and Wally West, and two babes. Donna Troy and a woman called Raven.

   They tipped well.

Tony kept doing his best to pull Frankie into his little gang. And despite his assurances, she knew he planned to kill Grayson.

That thought, it made her queasy. Frankie didn’t want to kill.

The crazy clown girl laughed. Tony spun to her, “Quit that stupid cackling!” His fists clenched as he moved to her. “I’m getting sick of you!”

“Oh stuff it Captain Metal arm.” The clown woman called. “And if you try and hit me with that thing, you’ll find it in an uncomfy place.” She wriggled a finger in his face.

   Grumbling Tony left the room.

Frankie looked at the unconscious Dick Grayson.

“Cute isn’t he?” The clown woman teased. She gently caressed the young man’s shoulders.

“Yeah.” She said in a light voice. “Too good for me.” her eyes closed. Soon she felt the clown’s fingers on her own shoulders.

   “Too good? Why?”

Frankie shook her head. “I-I’m hardly worth looking at. I made myself look like that model, Raquel. Then he noticed me.”

“Yeah, like he couldn’t see through that?” The clown girl said.

“Kids, they tease me about my looks in school,” Frankie said. “Mom always warned me against using my powers to get a t them. Tony, he wanted me to use my powers.”

She had joined Tony’s crew. A few times they tussled with the hero group called the Titans, led by Nightwing. Rumor had it he was once a Robin to the Batman.

“Why not take this time to get to know him better?” The clown jerked her head at Grayson.

   “Tony,” Frankie started.

“Why care what that putz wants?” the clown said. “That’s what you want!” She pointed at Grayson. “That stud muffin there!”
“He could never love someone like me.” Frankie turned away.

“Ugh,” the clown said. “Getting to drama in here. I’m leaving before the touchy feely starts.” She left the room.

Frankie walked to the prisoner. His mouth no longer gagged? Had the clown girl removed it? Why?
“I am sorry Richard,” Her hand caressed his thick, dark, hair. “I’ve had a crush on you since you came into the diner.” She kissed his forehead.

Jealousy filled her when she saw Richard with those pretty, bosomy women. Still, she could never tell him about her feelings. Now, he would never forgive her for this.

“Tony says normal lives are not for people like us.” Frankie said. “I do enjoy using my powers. Why should I hid them?” Again she stroked his hair. “When I can pleasure using them?”

She heard a sigh come from Grayson. Suddenly he grabbed her in his arms. The binds, broken?

“The clown’s right, you are too dramatic,” He said. The planted a big kiss on her lips, as she squirmed in his lap.

“M-mm,” Frankie sounded. “That crazy clown freed you?”

Grayson rose, with Frankie in his arms. “No.” He tossed her onto the bed.

“Oh, Richard,” Frankie said. Should she try and resist? Her powers could easily crush him. Oh, why bother?

“I had a visitor some nights back,” Richard said. He took off his shirt. She admired his broad, tough, chest. “Your Father.”

It had been a busy night. Nightwing, Richard Grayson, had stopped a gang led by Tony Blane from robbing an armored truck. Clay girl was with them.

Preston Payne stepped before Richard that night. Was he here for revenge? No, the first Clay face just wanted to talk.

Frankie found herself loosening her clothes.

What Preston Payne wanted to talk about was his daughter. He wanted out of a life of crime. Richard promised to help.

Both naked, Richard took Frankie in his arms. Her body shifted under his as he kissed her.

“What if Tony comes in?” Frankie whispered.

“Good,” Grayson told her. “Would be like the clown girl to send him in.”

Frankie kissed his chest, his lips, her hands stroked his back. “Why are you doing this?” She gasped. It was like she was unable to control herself.

“You knew it was me the whole time?” Frankie said. She muttered soft moans and grunts.

   “Yes.”

Unconscious, like a robin in flight, the clown girl had said. He was awake! That’s what the Clown meant.

   “Ohh,” Frankie moaned.

The door opened, both looked as Tony stepped inside. Wide eyed and pale-faced, anger soon shone through his skin.

“What the Hell?” Tony raged. “What are you doing? Get over here Frankie! You’re my woman!”

“No, she’s not,” Grayson said. He smiled, kissed Frankie’s nose and lips.

   Behind Tony the clown laughed.

“You don’t have to pretend to be beautiful,” Grayson told Frankie. “Just be what you are.” He kissed her small bosom. “Use your powers to help others.” Her lips.

They spun around in bed, Frankie now on top, eagerly kissing and loving Richard.

Tony was yanked away by something unseen. “Stay away from my daughter” An angry voice roared. “She’s not to be involved with anymore of your insipid schemes!” Her father, Preston Payne.

Frankie fell against Grayson’s chest. His arms around her.

“It don’t bother you who she’s screwing?” Tony’s voice called. Followed by the side of a powerful slap and a body hitting the wall.

“Frankie can be with whoever she wants!” Preston told the brat.

The clown woman was gone. Tony was handed over to police. Frankie returned to her Mother’s home, to relax in her room.

Lying in bed, she quietly thought back on Richard Grayson., The pleasure she had gotten and gives.

A knock on the window glass of her room. It was Nightwing.

“You, know where I live?” Frankie asked.

   “Of course,” Nightwing said.

She let him in. As she took in the heroes full frame it hit her. “Richard Grayson?”

He smiled and took her in his arms. They kissed.

“I have to admit,” Frankie said. “I’ve been doing some thinking tonight. I wanna play solo villain, you can chase me if you want.”

“Why do you want to be a criminal?” Nightwing asked.

“Well, Catwoman is, doesn’t seem to bother Batman.”

Richard laughed. He watched as Frankie took off her clothes. She then helped him undress.
