Xera and Her Companions #1: The Sorceress and the Jewel

by Sigma

Author's Note:  This is a new concept of short stories I’ll be posting over the summer. Like last year’s Halloween series, each one is no longer than 10 pages. The basic premise has Xera fighting evil and getting into misadventures in the company of a group of three companions that she meets. This story and the next two will have her meeting them, and the stories to follow will be about the trouble they get into.

I

Xera kept one hand near the grip of her sword as she raised the mug to her lips again. She watched the other patrons of the tavern intently, and they all stared back at her just the same. Her eyes went to the door, the only exit save for maybe the windows, and then back to the crowd of townspeople.

There was no laughter, no music, no drunken rambling, just a lone Amazon traveler in a room of two dozen total strangers.  It had been the same ever since Xera set foot in this small, unremarkable town. People watching her from their doorways, their windows, and in passing. No one spoke, everyone just watched.

Xera swallowed a gulp of her drink and slammed the heavy mug on the table, her tits bouncing with the action. She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, and her full lips stretched into a smirk when she saw some of the people inch toward her table.

"All right then...I don't know what your problem is, but come..." Xera spoke in challenge.

They charged almost as one, catching Xera by surprise before she quickly leapt up, flipping the table and throwing it toward the crowd. The men and women at the front of the charge stumbled back under the assault and Xera surged forward, her sheathed sword in hand as she charged behind the table shoulder first.

The crowd scattered at the attack, and Xera's powerful legs carried her across the room in several long strides, the muscles of her thick thighs stretching with the movement as she powered through the door and into the balmy night air.

Even after punching through, the Amazon never broke stride. She turned right and took off down the dusty street toward the town's border with the commotion of the crowd behind her. Her Amazonian physique made outpacing the soft cityfolk easy enough, but a tinge of worry shot through her core when she saw people opening their doors at the sound of the noise and joining the chase. Some flooded the streets behind her, but soon, people were coming out the homes and businesses in front of her.

"Damn the gods!" Xera cursed as she kept running, her fist finding a man's jaw when he jumped into her path and attempted to tackle her. He went down and she kept moving. Her eyes went up to the full moon overhead, and in its light, on a rooftop just ahead, Xera saw a tall, robed figured watching the scene below.

That momentary distraction was enough that Xera didn't notice the crowd quickly form a wall in front of her. She slid to a stop, kicking up a cloud of dust, and looked in all directions to find herself surrounded by the people of the town.

"Stay back!" she ordered, one hand on the grip of her sword as she weighed her options. She looked for the thinnest point in the crowd to carve through and widened her stance, her heart beating within her ample chest.

Her sword inched out of its scabbard as the crowd began closing in. "Damn you all, stay back!" she yelled.

She, and everyone else paused as a sudden gust of wind tore through the avenue. It circled around Xera, leaving her untouched as the gust formed a barrier and threw several of the town's citizens in a circle and away from their prey. Xera looked up again and a shadow descended from the sky and landed at her side.

The young woman was of average height with brown hair tied in a braid. She had a slim build and her simple gray robes were low cut to her stomach and did little to cover the modest curves of her body. A matching cloak around her slender shoulders settled as she landed. Her hands gripped a black, metal staff with a pale blue orb at the top.

"Don't harm them, Amazon!" the young sorceress spoke. "They're under the thrall of the Eye of Nilena!"

"What do I call you, sorceress?" Xera said as she and her new ally went back to back.

"Minerva. These people don't know what they're doing. A man is controlling them with a powerful artifact and I need your help to stop him."

"We need to deal with this first, Minerva," Xera said, watching as the citizens were kept back by the sweeping wind barriers.

Minerva reached back until her hand was on Xera's. "Take my hand. I'll get us to safety."

Xera did so without protest, and a moment later, she and Minerva were airborne, flying above the crowd as the winds keeping them back dissipated.  They were soon above the rooftops and climbing still. When they looked forward, they both noticed the robed figure standing there watching them. An ominous red glow emanated from an object around his neck and Minerva gasped.

"What is it...?" Xera asked just as she felt them slow down. Her eyes then went wide as they began reversing direction, back toward the ground.

"No! No no no no!!" Minerva shrieked as she and Xera plummeted toward the ground.

The impact knocked the wind from Xera's body as she and Minerva slammed into the ground, kicking up a large cloud of dust on impact. The Amazon groaned, and looked to her left to see her new companion was out cold. Xera crawled toward her, but was stopped by a rough hand grabbing her wrist. She looked up to see the expressionless eyes of one of the men staring down at her.

She couldn't even muster a scream as the townspeople swarmed her, their hands grabbing at every inch of her body as they came down on her and Minerva like a tide.

II

Xera lost count of how many times she struggled against her bonds, but she tried again. The cheap, rough rope rubbed against her bare flesh. It ran in a straight line between the Amazon's tits, wrapped around her waist, and continued downward, curving into her pussy and ass on its way to running up her back. Her hands were suspended above her head by iron manacles, the chains hammered into the stone wall behind her. Sweat coated her skin, dripping into a slowly expanding puddle beneath bare feet.

Xera clenched her teeth, but could barely move in the bonds. She turned to her right and looked over at Minerva, who hung, hogtied, from the ceiling. The ropes around her chest squeezed her small tits to the point where they were accentuated, her nipples swollen as they pointed at the stone floor. Her skin glistened with sweat as well, beads running down the curves of her thighs and dripping against the ground. Thick, humid air hung in the dimly lit room, matting each woman's hair to her forehead.

"Minerva..." Xera called out to her fellow captive. When she had her attention, she tried to shift in her rope. "That object...what did you say it was called?"

"The Eye of Nilena," Minerva answered. "She's an obscure goddess of wisdom and education. The jewel that makes up The Eye is said to contain a fraction of her power. I was trying to find it when I heard that some cult leader had it, and I followed the rumors here."

"What do you know of the man who keeps us here?" Xera asked.

"Nothing..." Minerva admitted. "I've just heard rumors about how he uses the eye's power to subjugate the people here."

Xera growled and struggled against her bonds once more, but all they did were bite into her tender skin. She shifted her legs out of reflex as the rope rubbed against her exposed lower lips. "Don't you have a spell to get us out of here?" Xera asked, looking at Minerva again.

"I do," the girl answered, her head hanging, "but the Eye sapped all of my power when I tried to fly us away. Whoever that man is, his control over the eye is strong."

"That it is, my dear," a man's voice echoed throughout the room.

Xera and Minerva looked around for a source but found nothing. Then, a man stepped out of the shadows. He stood taller than even Xera, and had thin, sharp features with black, slicked back hair. He wore simple robes, and the eyes of his captors were immediately drawn to a glowing red jewel set within a silver amulet hanging from his neck.

"You may call me Elias," he said with a bow. "Now...what have my faithful captured for me?" He asked, rubbing his hands together as he circled his captives.

"The Eye doesn't belong to you!" Minerva said to Elias as he ran his hand down her damp flesh, the tips of his fingers brushing the softness of her skin.

"I found it, therefore it does," he responded. "I was a simple mapmaker, trying to explore some ruins I had come across, and oh what treasure I did find at its heart!" He paused and thumbed the Eye as it pulsed with energy. "Once I had it, turning these fools was a simple task. I helped myself to what belonged to them...their homes...their riches...and yes, their women..." he teased, leaning in drawing a tongue across Minerva's face.

She recoiled as Elias savored the taste of her sweat.

"And now I have two prizes that far surpass what they could offered me," he continued.

"I've never seen an Amazon before."

Xera snapped her head to her right and found Elisa next to her, but when she looked in Minerva's direction, he was still there as well, playing with her vulnerable flesh against her protests. Xera turned back to the second Elias and looked down at his chest, only to see that the Eye did not hang from his neck. Only the one tormenting Minerva had it.

"So healthy..." the second Elias complimented, cupping Xera's tits with his hands. "What do they feed you Amazons?"

"I'm going to feed you my steel once I'm free, you disgusting little man," Xera promised him.

Elias smirked and grabbed her jaw. "I will enjoy taking that fight out of you," he said with a grin.

Xera struggled against her bonds again, and then gasped as she fell forward. She barely caught herself before hitting the stone floor face first and then stood up, free of her bonds. She turned back around to see Minerva still bound. Elias gripped the sides of the sorceress' head, his cock down buried in her mouth. Another copy of the man emerged from the shadows and took position behind the girl, gripped her hips and planted his stiff cock between her ass cheeks.

Xera surged forward to help her, only to find herself frozen in place. Her muscles were stiff and her body disobeyed her commands. The Elias who had been tormenting her circled her, now completely naked except for a smile, and was joined by a third copy of the man in the same state.

"Don't be so hasty, Amazon. There is enough of me to go around."

With that, one of the two Elias' grabbed Xera by the arms while the other seized her legs. Whatever hold Elias had over Xera vanished, but the clones had her in their grip now, and held strong as she fought against them.

"Unhand me!" Xera commanded as they lifted her up. She screamed in protest as the one holding her legs inserted himself slowly, his cock stretching her lips and a groan escaping her throat.

"Oh, you are tight, Amazon. I'll have to do something about that," he taunted.

"Fiend!" Xera spit at him, but that only elicited a laugh from her tormentor as he began thrusting himself in and out. Xera's body jerked and rocked with the motion, quivering as she was assaulted over and over again. She tried to force the thoughts from her head, but felt herself growing wet between her legs. Elias' hand on the flesh of her thighs squeezed hard enough to leave marks on her skin, and the sound of flesh slapping against wet, sweaty flesh echoed above Xera's groans and Elias' grunts.

Before Xera realized it, her wrists were back in irons, this time suspended from the ceiling by long chains that rattled with her motions. Elias continued holding her up so she was parallel to the ground and the second Elias gripped a fistful of her red hair and pulled her head back. He slapped his rock hard cock against her forehead, laughing and forcing her jaw open before inserting it to the point where she nearly gagged. His pace matched his clone, and as Xera was ravaged from both ends, she clenched her hands into fists around the chains connected to her shackles, squeezing tight and trying to fight against the feeling welling up in her core.

The Elias at her head gripped and kneaded one of her tits while his other slapped her hard on her ass, but neither of them broke their pace. Her tongue wrapped around the first one's cock, coating its surface with her saliva as she felt cum begin to drip from his quivering tip.

The other Elias pushed himself deeper into her snatch, the walls tightening around him as if not wanting to let go. Her chains rattled and her flesh shook with a wave of ecstasy that came on no matter how hard she tried to push it back. Her tits rocked with the motion, hardened nipples squeezed by the mirror images of the man who had captured her and Minerva, and then, suddenly, Xera felt his warm, sticky fluid flood her throat.

Elias pulled himself free, and Xera gasped for air, a glob of his ejaculate falling from her mouth and onto the floor with a splatter. Her eyes rolled back in her head as she tried to collect herself.

"Nothing to say, Amazon?" Elias taunted. His other pulled himself out from between her legs and finished on her, laughing as he stroked himself dry. Xera's feet slipped in the semen that dripped onto the floor.

"You...won't....get...away..." she said hazily while looking to her side.

Minerva was in just as bad a place. The Elias pair on her had freed her and had her on the floor, one underneath her and the other in her mouth. She was coated in their cum, but they showed no signs of slowing down.

"I think we'll keep you two around for a while," one Elias said to Xera. "Perhaps peddle you to the good people of this town since it was they who captured you two."

Xera attempted to speak, but Elias grabbed her and forced himself back down her throat. As the assault picked back up, she looked in Minerva's direction, and watched the young sorceress's slender hands as they pawed at Elias' wiry body while he stood over her with his cock still in her mouth.

He grabbed the sorceress' hair to force her down on him, threw his head back and laughed at his dominance, a laugh that carried through the stone chamber. Xera continued watching Minerva's hands while the Elias face fucking her continued his thrusting, his still-hard cock going deeper and faster.

Across the room, Minerva reached up, her fingers brushing the Eye of Nilena in its amulet. Xera's eyes went wide when she watched Minerva grab the gem and pull her head back. The sorceress yelled a word in a language Xera didn't understand, and Elias looked down at her when he felt the chain snap and the amulet pulled from his neck.

"No! You bitch!" he screamed before a burst of bright, white light emanated from the Eye and filled the room.

***

Xera sat up, her bare ass pressed against the cold, slick stone floor as she rubbed her eyes and waited for her vision to return. The first thing the Amazon saw was Minerva, sitting several feet away and staring ahead.

"Minerva..." Xera called to her and began crawling over. "What happened...?"

Minerva turned her head toward Xera and then raised a hand and pointed. That was when Xera realized the room was bathed in a pulsing red light. She followed Minerva's finger to see a swirling portal of red energy at the other end of the room. Elias sat in front of it frozen as a tall, statuesque figure took shape and emerged.

The woman was easily 15 feet tall, and resembled a human with long, wavy hair the color of blood and a circular, glowing crown of what looked like stars. Her naked body was flawless with lean, athletic muscles and large, perky breasts that bounced as she walked forward. Her eyes glowed white and her luscious lips pulled into a smirk as she stood in front of the portal with one hand on her hip.

"Is that Nilena?" Xera asked, staring in awe.

Minerva simply shook her head.

"I am Nemea, Amazon," the woman spoke. Her voice carried its own powerful echo. "Nilena's sister, Goddess of Lust."

"Oh...this is bad..." Minerva whispered. "She's also a goddess of war..."

Nemea threw her head back and laughed, a sound that seemed to shake the room and send a chill through Xera's bones.

"The sorceress is correct. My sister imprisoned me in that damned jewel," Nemea explained while pointing to the Eye, which Minerva held. "Get drunk and slaughter a few thousand mortals and suddenly you're the villain!" Nemea said with a roll of her eyes. "I realized I fucked up and personally escorted every last one of them to paradise, but NO! Not good enough!" she scowled. "In any event," she continued after calming down. "I may have been sealed in that gem, but I've seen everything ever since this one..." she pointed at Elias "removed me from the ruins of my temple."

Elias swallowed a lump in his throat and bowed his head. "I live to serve, my goddess."

Nemea's laugh shook the room again. "You pathetic little worm. I granted you a modicum of my power because I thought it would be fun, and all you do is enthrall some no name town and kidnap two women to make your sex slaves? Pathetic!"

Xera and Minerva looked at each other and then the goddess as she approached Elias. "I was hoping your ambitions would be larger, your appetites more...exotic," she said, kneeling down and putting a slim finger under Elias' chin to force him to look her in the eye. When their gazes met, Nemea slid finger along the man's face and rested it on his forehead, where she drew her brand, a glowing red circular symbol.

"I'm going to do you the favor of showing you creativity," she told him, turning that white gaze on Xera and Minerva. The two women recoiled and backed themselves against the wall as Elias rose to his feet and Nemea stood back up.

Elias smiled and stood at the goddess' side. "What shall we do with them, my goddess?"

"Them? Oh no, you misunderstand. You need to be taught a lesson for misusing my power. Those two are free to go because the sorceress freed me," Nemea said.

"Wh...what?" Elias stepped back.

Nemea snapped her fingers and a chattering sound could be heard coming from the portal as more shadowy figures took shape. Just then, four identical looking woman, roughly seven feet tall, emerged. Their skin was purple and covered in brands similar to the one on Elias' forehead. They all had curved horns on their heads and long, black tongues hanging from their mouths.

Like Nemea, they were athletically built, lean with large breasts and flawless flesh, but they moved with lightning, predatory speed.

Elias' shriek was loud enough to pierce Xera's ear drums but, before she and Minerva knew it, the four creatures were on Elias and dragging his naked body toward the portal. He clawed at the ground, panic and tears in his eyes.

"Amazon! Sorceress! HELP ME!" He screamed at Xera and Minerva.

They just watched him get dragged away, Minerva with an expression of horror and Xera with a barely suppressed smile. Elias' screams could be heard even after he vanished into the portal.

"Hmm..." Nemea mused as she watched her servants leave. "I hope he won't break easily..." she said.

"Umm...lady...Nemea...?"

The goddess turned around when Minerva stepped forward.

"Did you want this...?" the sorceress asked meekly, holding up the stone.

"Oh, no," Nemea waved her away. "Keep it. It should still have some residual power."

Xera stood up and stepped forward once she was satisfied she and Minerva wouldn't be the subjects of Nemea's wrath like Elias would be. "What will you do now?"

"Play with my new toy first," Nemea answered, pointing a thumb back at the portal. "Once I get bored with him, I think I'll go look for that sanctimonious sister of mine," she said with a wide, toothy grin. "You two be safe on the road. There are some truly strange people about," she said to them with a wave before disappearing into the portal, which then closed and left Xera and Minerva alone in the room.

The two of them stood in silence for a while, with Minerva staring at the stone. It pulsed with faint energy as she closed her hand around it and looked up at Xera and the two of them stared at the wall where the portal had been.

"We should have asked her for some clothes before she left..." Minerva muttered.

"Indeed..." Xera agreed.

III

The town's streets bustled with activity as people went about their business, running errands and checking the market stalls under the morning sun.

Xera and Minerva walked side by side, wearing clothing they had found in the building Elias was keeping them in, a large home that he had been using as his own. Xera wore a simple tunic made of fine fabric, the delicate material was soft against her skin but the clothing's design was out of place against her sword, which she found in a master bedroom Elias kept as his own. A large, leather satchel hung over her shoulder and rattled with every step. Her tits stretched the chest of the outfit, and they bounced freely as she walked.

Minerva wore a robe made for Elias, who was taller and more broadly built than her, and it hung off of her body, trailing the ground behind her as she walked with her staff in one hand and the gem that was Nemea's prison in the other.

They had both searched the rooms of Elias' estate for hours, but could not find a pair of shoes that weren't too big, so they resolved to walk barefoot until they could use gold they pillaged to buy boots from the cobbler.

The two of them got some strange looks from the townspeople, but were otherwise allowed to continue on their way.

"Do you think they know what Elias did?" Minerva asked.

"If they do, they aren't showing it," Xera answered. "No matter. Once I find some boots and better clothing, I am putting this place behind me."

"Agreed," Minerva said with a sigh. "Where are you going next?"

Xera looked at her and shrugged. "South, I suppose. I heard rumors of a band of orcs running amok. If people that way need my help...."

"Do you mind if I join you?" Minerva interrupted. "I came here because I heard this stone's power was being misused. I don't think it has much power left now that Nemea is gone, but it might as well be put to some good use."

"Certainly," Xera said with a smile, patting the girl on the shoulder. "At the very least, I can use you to distract the orcs long enough to slay them," Xera said before continuing on.

Minerva paused and watched her new, busty companion walk away. Her eyes were glued to the Amazon's toned ass beneath the tunic before she shook her head and looked back up. "You're joking, right? Xera?!" she called before running after her, tripping on the robe as she moved. "Ow! dammit..." Minerva growled before getting back up and following Xera.

Bonus Epilogue!

One of the many buildings that made up the realm of the gods was filled with humming as Nilena occupied herself with a nameless tune while walking through the gleaming halls.

The marble floor felt cool beneath her bare feet, and her pale green, translucent dress trailed behind her, barely containing the curves of her body. She mindlessly toyed with the soft, light brown tresses of her hair, tying them into a braid as the stars around her head circled and pulsed with light. The goddess was lost in thought, as she often was while taking her solitary walks through the halls, when a sudden chill swept through the space. She paused, cold running through her core, and let go of her hair.

"Wha...?" she said to herself, jumping when long, slender fingers crept up her shoulders like spiders. She didn't dare turn around as the person who suddenly appeared behind her rested their narrow chin on her shoulder.

"Sister...." Nemea spoke. Nilena could feel that toothy grin.

"N....Nemea..." Nilena spoke with a nervous laugh. She had gone so long without uttering the name, that doing it again felt alien.

"Mmm...how are you?"

"Doing well," Nilena answered. "When did you get back?"

Nemea laughed and wrapped her arms around Nilena's neck, nuzzling her head against her sister's. "I haven't been back long. Did you miss me?"

More nervous laughter from Nilena. "How long has it been?"

"5000 years, give or take," Nemea answered, drawing a finger across her sister's chest. "I mostly slept, practiced, and talked to myself. What about you?"

"I...I've kept busy..." Nilena answered, a bead of sweat running down the side of her face. She looked down at Nilena's finger and noticed too late that her motions left a glowing red symbol on her chest, Nemea's brand. "Shit..." the goddess whispered to herself.

"Well," Nemea said as swirling red energy formed under her sister's feet. "You have plenty of time to tell me all about it."

Nemea stepped back, and as she did, red chains shot out from the portal that formed under Nilena's feet. Her dress shredded and fell to the floor at their touch as they bound the goddess by her wrists and ankles. Her naked, supple body was held in place while Nemea fixed a collar of blood red stones around Nilena's neck, stones that were identical to the one that held her prisoner all those years.

Nemea circled around her sister, admiring the scene in front of her. "Why do you look so nervous? It won't be forever," she laughed.

Nilena scowled at her sister, her face being the only part of her not rendered immobile by Nemea's magic. It was a spell that, 5000 years ago, Nilena would have been able to break with ease. Nemea really had gotten stronger in her imprisonment. "You are in so much trouble when I get out of this," Nilena promised her younger sister.

Nemea skipped over, the smile never leaving her face, and kissed Nilena on the forehead. "I miss our games," she said before snapping her fingers.

As she did, the energy beneath Nilena's feet surged and the chains rattle and pulled Nilena into the portal.

"NEMEAAAAA!!!!" Nilena's scream echoed throughout the great hall until the portal consumed her entirely.

Nemea then put a finger on her chin in thought. "I wonder if the others will be as happy to see me..." she said to herself, staring down the length of the great hall. "I'll have to thank that sorceress..." she said to herself before gasping and clapping her hands together. “I wonder if my bestie Kalypso is here?!” She then began skipping down the hall, humming to herself in search of other gods.

The End
