Wonder Woman

I am Uatu, a member of a cosmically powered group known as the Watchers.

There are few in the many and varied universes that can match my power,

But though I can intercede in the events you are about to hear of, such is not my place.

Mine is but to watch and record, but never to interfere…

I am the Watcher

The Watchtower, orbiting DC’s Earth:

Though certainly necessary, monitor duty was still the dullest of all duties performed by the heroes of the Justice League.  They all knew, therefore, that they were quiet fortunate to have J’onn J’onnz, the Martian Manhunter on the team, for his mental fortitude was such that he rather enjoyed the duty, keeping track of all the events unfolding on Earth while at the same time not having to worry about all the thoughts, emotions and other turmoil he needed to constantly filter out when he was on the planet's surface himself.  Consequently, he often took the monitor duties of the other heroes on, often staying on the Watchtower for days on end.  He was currently sitting monitor duty for Wonder Woman, making her his first on-call hero should anything arise needing their attention.

“Diana, can you hear me?”  he asked into the communication relay that kept all the members of the League in constant communication with one another.

“I’m here J’onn, what is it?”  came her sultry, lightly accented voice over the speakers.  J’onn had always enjoyed listening to Diana speak, her voice was as soothing as her thoughts frequently were.  She had a very disciplined mind for a non-psychic.

“The Watchtower computer is detecting some strange energy signals in the vicinity of Washington DC.  How quickly can you get there?”  he asked her.

There was a humorous lilt in her voice when she responded to him, “I have the speed of Hermes J’onn… I’m already halfway there.”  There was a pause, then she continued, “I’ll let you know what I find.”

The first thing Diana noticed on arriving in the skies above the Nation's Capital was the odd color of the sky.  ‘I’ve never seen a purple sky before.’ she thought to herself, hovering in place several hundred feet above the Washington Monument.  She was too far up to be easily seen from the ground by the naked eye, but there was a news helicopter not too far off that had spotted her, so no doubt she was already being broadcast on televisions all over the nation.  Remembering that Superman had recently told them to be conscious of their public image, she smiled and waved to the helicopter and noted a man in the back of the chopper wave back.  ‘Hope you’re happy Kal, public relations is more Barry’s cup of tea.’

Spinning slowly on the spot she scanned the horizon for anything that might be causing the strange energy readings J’onn had indicated.  She had to assume they were the cause of the strange color in the sky, but she could see nothing obvious.  “J’onn?  Can you hear me?”  There was no immediate response, which brought a scowl to her beautiful face.  “J’onn?  Are you there?”  Likely something about the energy readings here was

causing interference in the communications equipment.  Opening her mind to the telepathic communication that her Martian friend was so adept at, Diana called out in her mind. ‘J’onn?  Can you hear me?’ When again there was no response, she scowled deeper and returned to her electronic communications.  “Superman, do you read me?  Batman?  Can any member of the Justice League hear this communique?”  No answer.  She briefly considered flying back out of the city limits and trying again, once she was outside the energy readings, but she dismissed it.  There was little that would be happening here that she couldn’t handle, and besides she felt she needed more information before she reported back to her fellow Leaguers.

Realizing that the reporters in the helicopter had likely been there longer than she and might know more, she turned back toward it.  ‘Wasn’t that helicopter blue before?’ she thought to herself, seeing that now the helicopter was red and silver.  Suddenly her vision blurred, and a wave of dizziness passed over her.  With a gasp, Diana lost all sense of direction, and her power of flight gave out, sending her plummeting toward the earth.  She lost consciousness as she neared the surface and so was mercifully unaware of the impact, leaving a rather large crater in the pavement when she hit.

Diana was unclear how much time had passed when she came to, but her vision swam briefly as she opened her eyes, wincing against the bright light.  “Ma’am?”  a male voice.  “You okay there?”

She blinked several times, trying to clear her vision and fighting through a wicked headache.  She wondered whether she might have a concussion, which was not something that happened to her often.  Slowly, other voices started to reach her ears as the ringing in them died down.  “Who is she?”  someone was asking, and was answered, “I don’t recognize the costume, but there are so many of those heroes out there today that we can’t be expected to know all of them.”

Someone else commented, “If I’d ever seen her before, on television or something, I’d remember.  All those super chicks are gorgeous, but I’ve never seen anything that can compare to her.”

Diana turned her head slightly and saw a man in a uniform she didn’t recognize crouched next to her.  He wore a badge on his chest, so he was either law enforcement or some form of security guard.  “Officer,” she said, pushing herself up on her elbows, “I hope no one was hurt when I fell?”

He was a man of average height, black skinned with a neatly trimmed mustache.  “No ma’am.  They all saw you coming, were able to get out of the way.  Cities going to pay a pretty penny to get this road fixed though.”  Diana looked at the ground under her and was surprised to see a crater about twice the width of her body and nearly a foot deep.

“Have them bill the Themysciran Embassy for it, I’ll gladly authorize the funds.”  she told him.

“Have them bill the what now?”  the officer asked, his face reflecting his confusion.

“Themyscira.”  She saw his confusion continue.  “The island home of the amazons?  We’ve had an embassy in your nation's capital for years now. I’m their princess… Diana.”  She glanced around and saw the faces of those gathered reflecting the same blank stares as that on the officer’s face.  “Wonder Woman?”

“You certainly are.”  Said the man who had spoken earlier, about remembering her if he had seen her.  “Want to go out sometime?”

“None of you has ever heard of me, have you?”  a collective shaking of heads from all those assembled.

Wonder Woman struggled to her feet, swaying slightly as another wave of dizziness overcame her.  She reached out and placed a hand on the officer’s shoulder to steady herself.  “Maybe you shouldn’t be standing so soon.  That was quite a fall you took.”

She shook her head.  “I’ve fallen farther and hit harder.  It didn’t affect me this strongly.  Something is definitely not right here.”  She glanced around and saw that there was going to be no help from this group, she needed to find a familiar face.  “Excuse me please.”  She stepped away from the officer and jumped, thinking about soaring into the sky and flying away.  She merely hopped into the air and landed again, frowning.  Several people laughed.  “My power of flight seems to have left me for the moment.”

“I’d be happy to give you a lift if you need it beautiful.”  Said that same man.

Diana glanced over at him, saw a man about her height, in his forties.  Heavyset and balding with a ballcap perched on his head.  “Thank you, no.”

“Maybe someone should call the Avengers?  Or the Fantastic Four, maybe they could help her.”  Someone suggested.

“Or the loony bin, seems they could probably help her too.”  Several people laughed at this.

‘They don’t believe I have powers.’ she thought to herself, then wondered if she even did any more.  She knew her flight had left her, had her other powers as well?  “Who are the Avengers?  And these others, the… Fantastic Four?”

The officer blinked at her in surprise.  “You’re… not from around here, are you?”

Diana glanced around, past the gathered crowd which was getting larger by the moment.  “Evidently not.  Much of it looks familiar, like what I’m used to… but much of it does not.”

“Perhaps she’s from another dimension?”  Said a studious looking older man in a sweater and bowtie, thick glasses perched on his nose.  He looked to her like a teacher of some sort.

“That… might actually make some sense sir.”  Diana said, her thoughts, which had been hazy and hard to form before were starting to clear up slowly.

To answer her question from earlier, the officer said, “The Avengers are a team comprised of our world's greatest heroes.  Captain America, Iron Man, Thor… people like that.”

Diana blinked and turned to him in surprise.  “Thor?  Does this world worship Asgardians then?”

“Well, some of us worship him sure enough!”  Said a young woman in a jogging suit who was standing at the edge of the crowd.

“Might be you’ll be getting some worshipers here soon too babe!”  Said one of the men in the crowd and several laughed.

Ignoring the jokes, Wonder Woman focused on the officer.  “So these… Avengers are heroes?  Much like my own Justice League.”

“Justice League?”  Someone in the crowd called.  “What a corny name!”

“I don’t know… I kind of like it.”  Said someone else.

“Where might I find this… Avengers team at?”  She asked the officer.

He thought about it for a moment.  “Well, they converted Stark Tower into their headquarters a few years back, but it got trashed.  Not sure where their headquarters is at now, they keep it secret… they’ve got lots of enemies after all.”

“Yes… very wise.”  She agreed.  “Thank you… I really must go now.”

“You gonna try to fly again?”  said someone in the crowd.

“That offer of a ride is still open gorgeous!” called the heavyset man. Diana paused, considering not their words but her own physical fitness.  True she had been fuzzy before, her whole body tingling with pins and needles, like the feeling one gets when a limb falls asleep.  Much of that was fading now and she wondered if it had had something to do with her faltering powers.  Deciding it could hurt nothing but her pride to try again, she leapt into the air and was relieved when she actually took flight.  The crowd below gasped in unison as she lifted off, but Diana was far from relieved.  She was flying, true, but it was taking a great deal of concentration to stay aloft and she wasn’t moving with near the speed she was accustomed to.  ‘Where in Hades am I?’ she asked herself, soaring out over the rooftops of the Nation’s capital, just not the Washington DC she remembered.

Slowly her strength was returning, and she held high hopes that it would return in full before long, but Diana was concerned that it was taking so long for her to get her strength back.  She was trying to consider her next step, which seemed to be finding one of these superhero groups she had heard mentioned, either the Avengers or the Fantastic Four, when the sound of a distant alarm reached her ears.  Though far from her physical peak, Diana was a hero through and through and it wasn’t in her to ignore such a thing.  Scowling, she went in search of the source of the noise and found it at a bank.

‘Typical.’ she thought, shaking her head as she landed outside the entrance of the establishment.  ‘People are always trying to take what others have worked hard to earn.’  The doors to the bank were closed but she pushed through them easily as she entered the building, glancing around as she did so.  It was put together much the same as other such establishments she had visited in her own dimension.  A long counter where the tellers did their business, desks in the lobby area where the officers of the bank did theirs.  Behind the counter, in a wall to the right was the vault, which would normally be closed she knew but right now stood open.  Customers were lying on the ground all around, unconscious.  She saw employees slumped over desks and no doubt there were tellers lying on the ground behind the counter too.  Whoever was robbing this bank had done something to knock all the people out.  ‘At least they’re not dead, perhaps this world doesn’t have the same caliber of villain as mine does?’

Taking to the air, Diana floated silently over the teller's counter and landed just short of the vault and to one side, so she wasn’t visible from within.  She heard someone muttering inside, a man's voice though slightly high pitched and nasal sounding. “No room for you in the current Brotherhood Mort…” he was saying, his voice tinged with bitterness, “...I’m sorry Mortimer, but the kingdom of Genosha has no need of a man of your skills just now.”  Those last words were said in a mocking tone, pitched lower as though mimicking someone else. “I’ll show them.  I’ll show all of them!  I’ll start my own group!  I’ll get Fred and some of the others… we’ll get the old band back together!”  He chuckled; the sound oddly raspy.  Diana didn’t recognize the voice, but she realized there was no reason for her to.  The villains of this world should be unfamiliar to her, which meant their abilities and skills would be unfamiliar too.  She understood she would have to proceed with caution.

Having heard enough to convince her of what was happening in the bank, Diana stepped forward, centering herself in the doorway of the vault and crossed her arms beneath her firmly thrusting, gold clad bosom.  The man in the vault had his back to her, giving the amazon a few moments to size him up.  He was repugnant to look upon, Diana even wrinkled her nose in distaste on seeing him.  He was crouched low, shoving bound bundles of cash into a backpack but she thought if he stood up, he might be average height for a man, a few inches shorter than her.  His hair was short and brown, his skin had a slight green tint to it and while he was painfully thin, she could see that his legs were incredibly long, well out of proportion to the rest of his body.  “It’s nice to see that villains in this world are no different than they are in mine.”

He yelped in fright, twisting at the waist and regarding her with wide eyes.  His eyes were already quite large, so him widening them in surprise was a rather stomach-churning sight.  “Who… who the hell are you?”  he asked, those bulbous eyes sliding over her with a mixture of caution and undisguised lust.  Diana had seen that look many times in the eyes of men, for having been blessed with the beauty of Aphrodite and choosing to wear her scant red, blue and yellow costume lead to being something of a distraction to the opposite sex.  In fact, Diana did it for that very reason, a lot of men would underestimate her the first time they encountered her, thinking her a vain and frivolous woman.  They would, of course, quickly learn the error of their thinking.

“On my world I am called Wonder Woman.  What do they call you here?  Certainly not just… Mort?”  she said it ironically, her voice dripping scorn.

“I’m Toad,” he said, his voice dropping dangerously, “and you’ll find I don’t like being made fun of!”

Diana smirked at him, confident she could handle whatever this diminutive little crook had in store. “Am I supposed to care what you do or don’t like?”

“You will bitch!”  He launched himself at her then, leaping with a speed that surprised her, flipping in midair and flying feet first toward her.  Diana, uncertain what this attack was leading to, chose to dive to one side, shoulder rolling toward the teller's cage while the Toad sailed through the air where she had been standing moments before.  She came out of the roll in a crouch, one long, shapely leg extended to the side, the other bent beneath her, one hand perched on the ground while the other was curled into a fist and cocked back to her waist.

The Toad surprised her again, his feet catching a wall of the bank and he rebounded, kicking off of it and flying at her once again.  Diana’s beautiful blue eyes widened, surprised at his agility and apparent speed.  Deciding to dodge again, until she had a better idea of his abilities, she dove forward, rolling under his trajectory.  But his surprises were far from finished, a long prehensile tongue lashed out from his mouth, wrapping around her ankle with surprising strength and Diana cried out as his momentum carried him past her, the tongue halting her lesser momentum and then dragging her backward.  She raised her forearms, shielding her face with her magical bracers as Toad twisted in mid-air, flinging her bodily into the wooden counter.  Diana grunted at the impact as the wood shattered to splinters around her, raining down over the prone bank tellers who were in fact laying unconscious there and she hit the ground in the lobby, rolling for several yards and knocking the unconscious forms of the bank's customers helter skelter as she passed.

When she came to rest at the foot of a bank officer’s desk she groaned, shaking her head to try and clear the wave of dizziness that threatened to overtake her.  ‘Still not at fighting form apparently.’  She heard the faint whistling of the wind as Toad sailed through the air toward her and desperately Diana reacted, rolling to her back and lashing out with both legs, driving the heels of her boots into his stomach.  Toad impacted her feet with a grunt, folding around her lower legs, the air leaving his lungs in a gush that washed over her face and nearly made her retch with its foulness.  He was flung backward by the double kick, spinning in mid-air and landing with his feet against the ceiling and pushing off back toward her.

“I can do that too cunt!”  He howled, flipping as he sailed toward her.  Diana tried to roll away, but the world was still spinning dizzily around her and she found she couldn’t move quickly enough.  He hit her full force with both feet, driving them into her firm, flat stomach.  Diana’s lithe body convulsed with the impact, shoulders and legs rising and the air blasting from her lungs like a bellows.  When her body settled after the attack and her vision cleared somewhat, he was on top of her, straddling her slender waist and gazing into her eyes.  “Now… what say you and I have some fun?”  Before Diana could respond his long, repulsive tongue slithered from his mouth, the tip sliding into the deep cleavage visible above the gold armored top of her costume.  Her skin crawled at the contact, his tongue leaving a trail of saliva that felt like the slime left behind by a slug or snail.  “How dare you…!” she started to rant at him.

“Shut up whore.”  he snapped at her, and Diana’s mouth clamped shut instantly.  She was at first confused as she stared up at him angrily, then her eyes widened in dawning horror.  She could feel the slime of his tongue evaporating from her chest as it soaked into her skin and, having experienced the effect a time or two from her own magical lasso, which she only now had the presence of mind to remember, she understood the mind controlling power of Toad’s saliva.  “That’s right bitch.  You’re mine… until I decide to release you.”  He leaned back and ran his eyes over her hungrily. “Don’t plan on that happening any time soon!”  He chuckled, then he leaned forward, laying down atop the amazing amazon and gazing into her eyes.  “You’re even prettier than Wanda… never had the chance to try this mind control thing out on her, but she’s ancient history!  You and me… we’re gonna be spending a lot of time together!”  He could see the anger and fear in her eyes, for there was little Diana valued more than her own freedom and he had taken that from her.  She regretted acting against him before she was fully capable, she hadn’t even thought to use Hestia’s lasso on him!  It was her primary weapon and her mind was still so muddled from the dimensional shift that she had completely forgotten to use it!  “Now, just so we’re clear… Wonder Woman was it?... you understand that I’m in charge now right?  You’re completely under my power.”  Reluctantly, hating him more than she had anyone in a long while, she nodded.  “Excellent!  Now… your real name can’t possibly be Wonder Woman, who are you really?”

Understanding that he wanted her to speak now, she answered him truthfully.  “I am Diana, Princess of Themyscira.”

He tilted his head to the side, and she could see him trying to remember something.  “Never heard of no Themys...whatever.  But ain’t never had me a royal before!  Let’s get this party started Diana!”  He got to his feet, moving a few feet away from her.  “Stand up… and take off that costume.  I wanna see what you got for ol’ Toad!”

Hating him for making her do it and herself for not being strong enough to resist him, Diana did as he instructed.  She stood up and stripped quickly from her costume, so famous on her own Earth.  She thought briefly of all the men who had tried this over the years, only to be thwarted by her or her allies.  She had no allies here and that was suddenly blaringly obvious as she stood, completely naked in front of a man she should have been able to best rather easily.  Sirens in the distance drifted to their ears and Toad tilted his head to the side, his expression showing his consternation.  “Damn!  Well… got some time before they storm the joint.  Still gonna make you pay for interrupting me.”  He glanced behind her at the desk she had been lying next to moments before.  “Lay down on that.”  Diana glanced at the desk, then moved over and hopped onto it, letting her long legs trail off the side as she lay back, lifting her head to glare hatefully at him.  Toad approached the desk, grinning as he ran his eyes over the Junoesque amazon princess.  “Ain’t never seen a woman like you before… and I’ve fought some of the sexiest women in existence!”  He moved up to the desk and placed his hands on her knees, chuckling when she shuddered in revulsion at his touch.  “Spread ‘em!”  Unable to resist his command, though she tried, Diana spread her knees, revealing her black bush to his hungry gaze.  “Yeah… let’s get to it!”

Diana groaned, arching her neck, her shoulders lifting from the smooth wooden surface of the desk as his wide, thick lipped mouth found her center, his obscenely long tongue piercing deeply into her womanhood.  Her arms shot out to the sides, her fingers curling around the edges of the desk and cracking the wood under her grip as her whole body quivered with pleasure.  “Hera… give me strength!”  she cried, feeling his too long fingers slithering up her sides and then caressing the sides of her amazing breasts.  His fingertips found her large nipples, hard as diamonds and rolled them between his thumb and forefingers.  “Goddess!”  The desk exploded beneath her as she convulsed upon it, her body relinquishing an orgasm to Toad’s dexterous tongue.  She fell among the rubble, his face following her down, nestled between her spread thighs.  Her breathing was ragged now, her breasts heaving, her physically perfect body coated in a thin sheen of perspiration.

Then he was on her, his face hovering above hers as he propped himself up on his long arms and grinned into her face.  “Put those legs around me and get ready for the ride!”  Diana didn’t want to, but after his saliva had actually been inside her twat there was no way she could resist him.  Her long legs locked about his waist and she pulled him forward as he thrust into her, her full lips parting in ecstasy as he drove into her, her back arching and her fingers clawing at the rubble around her.  He kissed her, the fat, squirming tongue slithering into her mouth and filling it fully.  He was thrusting, his violent pounding rocking her body as he grunted and groaned over her.  He broke the kiss, a stream of thick saliva trailing from his mouth to hers as he kissed his way down her chest and took one of the princess’s hard nipples into his mouth.  He started pushing with his legs, far stronger than their impossibly skinny shape would lead one to believe, the force of that driving him deeper and deeper into the shapely warrior.

Diana’s head rolled back, and her mouth dropped open in a long, anguished groan, hating that she was enjoying him so much, knowing it was his control on her will that was causing it and so hating him all the more.  His thrusts started to lose their tempo, becoming more ragged and staccato, his grunts and groans getting louder and louder as he drew nearer and nearer to orgasm.  “Can an amazon princess get pregnant?”  He asked her with a chuckle, bringing a wide-eyed stare of genuine horror from the woman as she lifted her head and gazed at him.  Then he closed his eyes and gave one powerful, mighty final thrust and shot his load deep into Diana, that thrust initiating another orgasm in her that nearly caused her to break his spine as she convulsed again, her legs around his waist contracting violently. His eyes bugged out and he pounded the floor to either side of her as she squeezed.  “Stop!”  he gasped out and she did, instantly though her orgasm continued for long moments after.  When it passed, she collapsed in a heap beneath him, panting.  He lowered his mouth next to her ear and whispered, “When next we meet, you will be overwhelmed with desire for me amazon.  But for now… sleep.”  Diana drifted off to a heavy slumber, knowing no more for some time to come.

Distantly, through a fog of weariness, she heard a man’s voice.  “She’s coming around.”

Diana opened her eyes, blinking them to clear the blurriness and fog.  “Where… where am I?”  she asked hesitantly.  She could see she wasn’t in the bank any longer, she seemed to be in some sort of medical bay.

“This dimension's version of New York City, in Avenger’s Headquarters.”  The speaker was a man of slightly more than average height, slender but with broad shoulder and jet-black hair.  He had a well-trimmed if… interestingly styled goatee on his slender jaw.  His blue eyes were playing over her in much the same way all men’s eyes did, but she saw no malice there, mostly concern for her well-being.  “I’m Tony Stark, by the way.  Though in this dimension they call me Iron Man.”  He was wearing a white smock, like what a doctor might wear, but she got the impression of him as more of a scientist than a doctor.  That would explain how he knew she was from another dimension, as his statement seemed to indicate.

“Diana of Themyscira.”  she responded.  “New York you said?”

He nodded.  “Do you have one of those where you’re from?”  She nodded.  “I was able to pinpoint that you’re from a different dimension because the molecules in your body vibrate at a different frequency than ours do.  As such, I was able to stabilize your cells.  I believe your powers should be back in full now.”

She lifted her head, saw that she was back in costume.  “I was in a bank, someone called….”

He cut her off with a raised hand.  “We know.  We… uh… reviewed the security footage.  You don’t need to say anything, we saw what happened.  He got away unfortunately, but everyone is looking for him.”

“Everyone?”  She sat up then, glancing around and saw that she and Tony Stark weren’t the only ones in the room.  There was a man in a uniform designed to resemble the American flag and a woman in a black, daringly low-cut cat suit with long, flowing red hair as thick as Diana’s own.

“This is Black Widow,” he said, indicating the sexy redhead, “and Captain America.  The three of us are members of a team called the Avengers.”  He paused, then said, “As I said earlier, that’s where you are, Avenger’s HQ.  Cap brought you here after he found you in the bank.”

“My sympathies on that attack ma’am.”  Captain America said.  “I’ve got the other Avengers out scouring the city for Toad and I’ve asked the X-Men for help as well.  They have more experience with him than anyone else.”

“I… appreciate the assistance.”  Diana told them.  “Any idea how I came to be here?  Or how I might get back?”

Tony shook his head.  “We’re looking into that.  There have been strange energy readings all over the globe and sightings of super beings none of us are familiar with.  Also, many of the people we know are missing, so we suspect they are going to other dimensions as well.  I’m not sure as yet what’s causing it, but it seems you're stuck here for the time being miss.”

“Call me Diana.”  she said to them, “or Wonder Woman.”

Captain America approached the bed and extended his hand to her.  “Steve.”

Diana smiled, shaking his hand.  “That bodes well for you Captain.  I knew another Captain Steve once… he was a good man.”

“I’ll try to live up to that Diana.”  he said with a smile.
