Perilous Job  Pt 3

A large stretch Limo pulled up to the Refinery's main gate, and a guard approached the driver to check the credentials. "OK the chief of security is waiting at main building over there. The uniformed man pointed to alow green structure. The limo proceded to the front of the building, where two people and a golf cart waited.

"Good morning Lincoln." A small nearly bald man greeted the passenger, who exited the rear door.

The tall black man didn't return the greeting nor did he shake hands. He wore a tan camel haired coat over the very expensive business suit, topped by a grey fedora. The stern features of the man stated he was here on serious business, so when he sat in the golf cart smoking a long expensive cigar, the driver drove off towards their destination without any fanfare.

"I wonder what that is all about." The Chief commented as the cart disappeared down the hall and around the first corner.

Whithin a matter of minutes, the cart stopped in front of two large frosted glass doors stamped HEADQUARTERS in bold black letters. Jeff exited the cart and the driver opened one of the doors to let him enter. His camel hair coat was merely draped over his broad shoulders, and a petite Short haires brunette offered to take it from him.

"Thank you young lady." He shrugged his shoulders in an effort to help her.

"Would you like some refreshment?" Linda asked with a smile.

"No thanks, I won't be here that long." The tall black man replied and sat in a plush leather chair next to the oak desk. After puffing on the cigar Lincoln turned to a rotund man sitting behind that desk. "OK Winthrop, what happened?" He took another puff. "You said you had her."

"There was a big storm and she managed to sip away into it, but we'll find her soon." Winthrop wiped the sweat from his brow.

"I expect a call in the morning. Don't disappoint me." Lincoln stood and looked at the beautiful little lady. "I'll need my coat."

Meantime Nova awoke and snapped the ropes binding her. "Where did everybody go?" She wondered. "I'll check the farmhouse." The wind wailed and the rain pounded against the old siding, as Nova left the barn and sped over to the porch. She peered in one of the dirty windows to see a man pointing his finger at the woman known as Vixen. "He looks quite angry." She thought, and then checked the GPS. "Damn, Starfire is over there somewhere." Nova peered through the pouring rain, but could see nothing. The young sidekick noticed the signal was moving towards the barn. "I'll meet her there." She turned to flee back through, but ran into a wet foul smelling rag held by a man in a dirty wet tee shirt. "MMMMPPHHHH!!"

"What have we here." The man chuckled as he pressed the rag into Nova's face.

The young heroine gasped with surprise and inhaled a deadly amount of the sedative. "Ohh I feel so weak, can't break his grip." She struggled to get free, but the big man wrapped his arm around the slim waist. He bent Nova backward as he pressed the rag harder over her beautiful face and stared down into her bulging big blue eyes.

"Have to free myself." Nove wriggled her body and pulled at the man's hairy arms, but the chloroform was quickly weakening the sexy superheroine.

The man watched his victim's eyes turn from wide panic mode to blurry and then roll back to show mostly white. Her body started to go slack in his grip as those eyes hid behind her long black eyelashes. "That's it dearue, just breathe in the chloro and go to sleep."

Vixen exited the house to see Nova's body fall limply in the big brute's arms. She held the door open for him to carry the unconscious stranger into the old farmhouse. Her cell phone jangled. "We haven't recaptured her yet Winthrop. No I can't guarantee we'll have her by morning.

Just then the big black man sat back in a soft lether chair next a large fireplace. "Benny, get me the Jackal on the phone. He puffed on the long cigar and waited.
