The emergency call had been quickly routed from the police's 911 group to The AGENCY's dispatch center and then right to the 'Ready-Alert' superheroine team. Red Nova and Ruby Flame had raced to their shared powercycle once they heard the location: the "Jester's Jaunt" funhouse at Titanville Amusement Park.

Penelope 'Penny' Brindle was the fiery superheroine known as Red Nova. She was 5' 9" tall. She had a svelte body which allowed for her great quickness and agility. Red Nova and Ruby Flame arrived at the amusement park even later than they had predicted. It seemed like they had gotten every red traffic light on their way out to the location. The pants reached to her knees and the top reached to her elbows. Down the sides of her pants and down the sleeves of her top were black lines. The lines looked like sharp rays of exploding light and made the superheroine look taller and thinner than she really was. She wore a red mask, red ankle boots, and red wrist-length gloves. Her shins and calves were bare as were her forearms. She wore black socks which reached just above her ankle boots. Underneath, she wore black silk panties and a black silk camisole. Around her neck she wore a metallic-red pendant which looked like an exploding star. The pendant was outlined in black which enhanced the shooting rays of red light emanating from the exploding star. Her powerbelt was also bright red and outlined in black. Her superheroine name was spelled out on her powerbelt. The 'o' in the word 'Nova' was replaced with the same exploding star icon found on her pendant. Red Nova wore a red cape with an inner-lining that was black in color.

Ruby Flame's superheroine costume was almost identical to her partner's. Ruby Flame wore the same bright-red spandex as well as a red mask, red ankle boots, and red wrist-length gloves. And just like Red Nova, her shins and calves were bare as were her forearms. She wore yellow socks to cushion her feet inside her boots and she wore a yellow sports bra under her top to support her ample breasts. Ruby Flame wore a faux-ruby pendant which matched her faux-ruby encrusted bracelets. Both her pendant and bracelets were outlined in yellow. Her powerbelt was bright red and outlined in yellow as well. On her belt was the word 'Ruby' in black block letters and underneath it was the word 'Flame'. The word 'Flame' was in a flame-like cursive writing and was bright-yellow in color. Down the sides of her pants and down the sleeves of her top were wavy bright-yellow designs which looked like flames. Ruby Flame also wore a red cape with a black inner-lining. Both superheroines tied their long red hair in a pony. Red Nova used a black ribbon to tie her hair; Ruby Flame used a yellow ribbon.

As the blazing superheroines moved further into the park, it became emptier and emptier of customers. And then soon after they were all alone. They slowed their pace from a run to a quick walk. Ahead of them and walking towards them appeared to be a young employee of the park. They got closer and closer to the young man and were able to see that he was an indeed an employee of the park.

"Have you seen any signs of two superheroines back from where you just came?" Red Nova asked the employee as she caught her breath.

They had been running for quite a while.

"We think they might be in or around 'Jester's Jaunt'!" Ruby Flame added.

Ruby had her legs apart and her hands on her hips as she also enjoyed the quick stop to catch her breath.

"Well, there were two women who went into 'Jester's Jaunt', but they came out of that ride and went to the Carousel ride, I think. They were in a hurry so I really don't know. But I'm pretty sure they went to the Carousel ride." the ride attendant informed the superheroines, almost coughing out loud when the first superheroine mentioned the words 'just came'.

"Just keep going like you are, the Carousel is on the right side. You can't miss it. They keep it lighted and running as people leave the park." the employee said as he took in the sight of the dazzling younger superheroine standing in a seductive superheroine stance.

"Thanks for your help!" Red Nova said eagerly as the two superheroines started to run in the direction where the boy had pointed.

When the dazzling superheroines had run off and were out of earshot, the attendant reached for his walkie-talkie and called to Nancy. Nancy and Patty were still waiting for Emerald Lynx and Ravishing Raven to awaken. Nancy heard the attendant's voice on her walkie-talkie that she had left on one of the control panels in the Carousel service room. She walked over to the control panel and picked up the device.

"Richard, this is Nancy. Please repeat what you just said, over." Nancy requested as she held the talk button in.

She released the button and waited for the attendant's reply.

"Two new superheroines headed towards your location. Suggest you prepare a welcome committee. Repeat, two new superheroines headed towards your location, over." Richard replied.

"Roger that, over and out." Nancy quickly said as she looked at Patty with wide eyes.

Nancy thought for a few seconds and then flicked some switches on the control panel in front of her. And then she grabbed two remotes that controlled the horses that Emerald Lynx and Ravishing Raven were secured upon. Both Nancy and Patty moved and huddled down in a dark corner of the service room, behind some horses that were waiting to be reconditioned. Nancy handed one of the remotes to Patty. Nancy and Patty kept silent and waited.

Red Nova and Ruby Flame bounded up to the lighted and rotating Carousel ride, but they didn't see anybody, let alone two superheroines. They looked around for any clues. The music of the Carousel played from speakers above them. The shiny and painted horses moved up and down on their axis like all carousels. Nothing seemed out of place or out of the ordinary. Ruby Flame spotted a door marked 'Carousel' next to a cluster of carnival-game fronts and cotton-candy/pretzel refreshment stands. She pointed to the door and Red Nova and Ruby Flame ran quickly over to it.

When they reached it, they read the words 'Service Room' in small letters underneath the word 'Carousel' in big letters. The superheroines looked at each other with raised eyebrows. Red Nova nodded her head. She waited for Ruby Flame to nod her head so she knew her partner was ready. Ruby Flame nodded and Red Nova then opened the door. Darkness. But from the lights shining brightly from the Carousel, they could see that the door opened into a very short hall that led to a set of stairs that went down. Red Nova and Ruby Flame entered cautiously and proceeded down the stairs.

As they reached the bottom of the stairs, they could see that they were in a large room that extended to their right. In fact, the room was directly under the Carousel ride. And as they reached the bottom of the stairs they could see that a long corridor extended from their left to their right. It looked like a corridor that connected to other locations in the park. They surmised that it was a service corridor for employees to get around the park but remain unseen from the customers. But they paid no attention to the empty corridor because they had just found what they were looking for. In the center of the large room, and strapped to two carousel horses, were the two superheroines. They looked like they were unconscious.

Red Nova and Ruby Flame approached the platform in the center of the room cautiously, looking around them for anyone that may be waiting to pounce on them. It appeared like they were alone. Red Nova and Ruby Flame stepped quicker towards the secured superheroines. As they got closer, they could see that the two superheroines were totally nude except for their masks and powerbelts. They saw that the superheroines were tied rather securely to the carousel horses.

"It looks like Emerald Lynx and Ravishing Raven!" Ruby Flame said emphatically after getting a better look at the nude superheroines' powerbelts.

"Let's get them down! Start with their arms!!" Red Nova implored to Ruby Flame as the two superheroines quickly jumped up onto the small platform where the horses were.

Both superheroines quickly slumped down on their knees and tried to breathe fresh air and collect themselves. They were equally dazed and unbalanced as their heads swirled from the heady and noxious fumes. That they were both affected by the gas so quickly added to their mutual shock and bewilderment at their situation. Thankfully, the fiendish gas had stopped billowing from the horses' nostrils they both thought silently. They thought they had time to recover from the attack but they couldn't have been more wrong.

Patty quickly put a small mask over her face and raced towards the horses now engulfed in billowing red gas. The gas had stopped but it was spreading out quickly. As Patty held Red Nova's head tightly in front of the horse's nostrils, Nancy pressed and held an over-ride button on the console. The dark-red knock-out gas began billowing out of the one horse's nostrils once again, straight into the face of Red Nova. Red Nova was helpless to fight the noxious gas. She tried to twist and turn her head away from the gas but it was no use. The hands clutching her head and hair were strong.
