This
is reconstruction of story which were published as comic by Meatman on
Ethernet site. I try to do it as best as I can and what I remember but I can’t
guarantee that this reconstruction will be correct with original story
Hexana is heroine created by Mr X, Dr Anesthethic is villain created by
Meatman.
“Greco’s Painting”
Saragossa 1809
City is full of exchange of fire between spanish soldiers, citizens of town and
soldiers from Napoleon Bonaparte army. Slowly defenders weakened by hunger lack
of water powder, artillery barrage were forced to leave house by house and
buldings to buldings. None of them expect grace from hands of Napoleon
soldiers.
Sergeant Łybacki from Vistulan legion crawls to house wall, after putting
there explosive he runs as fast as possible to his comrade. After hearing
explosion all of them run inside. The fightings is short.
-Take positions keep watch on hole of wall I don’t want thas spanish cut our
throats.- says Łybacki.
-Look sergeant we are first here why don’t we look around before French come.-
says one of soldiers.
-All right we will do this when will be break in fight- says Łybacki.
- Be careful when you go around remember what happen with last sergeant.- he
adds.
-It seems that Spaniards withdraw- says one of soldiers.
-So we have some peace- says Łybacki- you three watch around- nobody wants
any surprises.
Soldiers go around house looking for food or things which they can sell. They are
worth of this thinks Łybacki some of them fights from 1797 the oldest even
from 1792. Other show at the beginning this swamp in 1808 what they are worth.
He see something hidden behind chest. After pulling it he sees roll after
unwrapping it he sees painting. After looking at it he decides that he keep it
for himself. When he has fought in Italy he has seen as some of French officers
has ordered to take such paintings.
He hears signals

Ilustrowany Kurier Codzienny sensational discovery of El Greco Painting reads
Hans Matzig then he buys newspaper from paperboy. Then he goes to nearby
carriage and orders – On Skaryszewska. He gets call to come to resident of
Abwehra web in Warsaw. Why he call me? He thinks maybe it’s about this
informant who was caught. Maybe he will give him information about new contact
box with Konigsberg probably new task. Better if this will be true because he
gets some important material among them list of people who are known from
enmity to Germany. And when war begin soldiers will take care with them. He
hopes this time year 1919 and 1918 will not repeat.
Finally he reach destination. After greetings he goes to resident bureau.

After reading it he burns it and leave bureau. When he reach home he change
clothes and orders taxi. Then he goes to Adria where he orders meal. After
sometimes he hears.

- So it seems that this place is free take a seat- says Matzig.
-Our superiors are pleased from your work and they have important task for you.
You probably hears about series of burglary which took place in Berlin.
-Yes newspaper reads about it some burglars were caught.- says Matzig.
- Unfortunatelly not all among burglars were Selena Kyle known as Catwoman she
escapes. Profesor Halsbach is among victims. This old fool keep in his house
some secret materials about works for army.
-Misses and misters now will come famous magic from Delta City Hexanna who will
introduce us with magic art- they hears.
Orchestra begin play music and Hexana comes. She is wearing black hat and
dress. At beginning Hexana shows simple art as for example choosing card later
she shows more difficult performance. After finishing show waiter gives her
bouquet of roses and she leaves. Hexana is one of not many wizard in this world
when magic slowly vanishes. In past her family was one of respected even some
of members of family had been burnt. But know she can only work with magic as
conjuer.
Warsaw Railwaystation
Margaret Ashwood leaves train. One of boys comes to her and offer to carry her
luggage. She agrees. After reaching taxi stand she gives him some money. A
cabman put her luggage to boot. After taking place in taxi she orders him to
take her to Bristol Hotel.
Soon they reach hotel. After fixing all regulations she goes inside room. After
washing Selena Kyle rests. For now she is safe. It was easy thing robbing this
Prussian but later begins hell. She has to run from Berlin and lost all her
equipment. But now she can sleep in warm bed.
In the morning after eating breakfast she leaves hotel and goes to Zachęta
gallery. She walks into corridors watching all of paintings. Michałowski
Gierymski it doesn’t tell her much. Suddenly she sees something
interesting after watching it closely she recognize spanish school El Greco or
one of spanish painters from his school. There are some signs on this
painting she isn’t sure but maybe it’s somekind of message.
She feels somebody presence. She turns around and see black haired woman who
also watches this paintings. Other thieve? Somebody from branch no she thinks
so who snoop, detective or…. She isn’t sure but she sees her somewhere but
where.
Selena Kyle leaves Zachęta and after taking taxi she orders cabman to take
her on Praga. A cabman wants payment now so she pays him. After sometime she
leaves taxi. The street isn’t nice but she spent life in worst streets. But if
she wants to realize her plan she needs some equipment and info. After
reaching one building she knocks to the door. Somebody opens door and she goes
inside. Room is full of women and men, some drinks other talks, they watches
her carefully. She goes further and see older woman.
-Good afternoon I assume that I speak with grandmother Matakowa- says
Selena Kyle.
- It matters who asks- says Matakowa.
- Isaac Silberman send you greetings- says Selena Kyle.
- From which Silberman these from Odessa or these from Mozyrz- tells Matakowa.
- He tells that he was born in Hajduki Wielkie- says Selena Kyle.
- So what happen with our mutual friend?- asks Matakowa.
-Let say that he is now on government board and it takes very long time- says
Selena Kyle- he tells too that cooperation with you can be resourceful for me.

pawns which I want to sell.
-Kazik tell Srul that I need him- shouts Matakowa.
Soon Srul join them he wears some glasses and takes from bag jewelers
toolbox. After checking jewellery which brought Selena Kyle.
-Old work it will be difficult to sell it 10000- says Srul.
- You want to ruin me 25000- says Kyle.
-No these pawns are bent, and I can sell if after 5 years or maybe later- says
Srul.
- 30000 thousand or nothing- says Kyle.
-No 20000 or you can search someone other- says Srul.
-All right- says Selena Kyle.
-It takes me 2 or three days before I collect money- says Srul.
Two days later.
Selena Kyle is nervous she has feeling that someone is watching her. Her room
in Bristol was checked. The way in which it was done suggest that these
who do aren’t amateurs. Luckily for her all of jewellery are sold and these
papers which she has stolen by accident are hidden. She checks equipment
and reminds information now she is ready.
Skaryszewska
-So what we know- says resident
-I check her room and she doesn’t have them- says Matzig.
- Our superiors will not be happy when they will know that French or Polish
gets them- says resident.
- She is thief and if she stole it she probably didn’t know their worthiness. I
don’t include that someone hired her. Let assume that those who hired her
doesn’t contacts with her. But we will know it very soon.
Phone rings
-this is to you- says resident
-Yes- says Matzig- all right soon we will know everything.
Zachęta gallery.
Visitors slowly leave gallery.
-So miss Kowalska I hope that soon you finish work- says director.
-I think that today I finish it- says Halina Kowalska.
After sometime she finishes her work and leaves room. When she turns into corridor she sees strange person who carefully walks into corridor. Halina decides to follow her suddenly this person turns and vanishes from her sight. When she goes further someone grabs her and put hand on her mouth.
-Who do I catch some snoop. You don’t have to tell me. I have something which silence any snoop Don’t be frightened I don’t have on mind killing you- says Catwoman while putting on Halina mouth and nose wet cloth.
Her victim begin struggling trying to remove Catwoman hand. After sometimes Catwoman feels as grip of snoop lessen.
Breath this nice girl- hears as from long distance Halina who is very sleepy she tries to keep open eyes. But they don’t want, slowly one by one they close. Catwoman keeps cloth until she is sure that snoop’s breath is slow and steady.
- Leave her now and surrender- hears Catwoman who turns and sees Hexana
- It seems that I have a good day so what god prepares for me snoop and…another superheroine. Aren’t you tired catching villians or maybe you join mph- her words are interrupted by sweet smelling pad which someone puts on her mouth and nose. The same happen with Hexana.
Both heroine and villainess fight valiantly trying to remove sweet smelling pads from their faces. Soon Hexana gives up and takes a breath and with each breath it smells better and better. Soon her hands and legs are so heavy as they are made from lead. She sees as Catwoman tries to grap pad weakly.
Catwoman is very weak, she has trouble with her hands which become weak. She sees as Hexana eyes flutter and close. She has trouble with standing and her eyes are so heavy. She blinks them twice and close.
- You be careful with this painting damaged it doesn’t give you money- says Dr Anesthethic to his henchmen.
- What about this three women- says one of them.
- All right take this and this- says dr Anesthethic showing the other two Catwoman and Halina- unfortunately I don’t have extra place for her.
They carefully takes painting and carries two women and leave Zachęta.
Few days later Somewhere near Warsaw
Catwoman walks into her cell from wall to wall trying to understand what happen who is responsible for catching her. Kidnappers takes most of her equipment except small pincer which they don’t find. They give her meals but after drinking and eating it she finds that they are drugged. Sometimes dose was so strong that she falls immediately into deep sleep sometimes she was docile. When she was in such state someone fondles her breast gropes her ass. What a damn for Catwoman. Once she isn’t sure but she sees this snoops which she puts to sleep in gallery.
-These Germans are here- she hears.
-Go to Catwoman and take her to the chair- says Dr.
Catwoman knows that she is in trouble big trouble. The only person who is known to called Dr is nobody else as Dr Anesthethic freerifleman who participate in many crimes thieving kidnapping. He is a headhunter and has reputation of skilled interrogator who can make talking everyone on which he has order.
Now she understands why she fails. She lies on bed trying to pretend that she is a sleep and puts near pincer. She hears opening doors and someone goes inside. Guard tries to get up docile woman who swims from his hands to bed. Finally he slaps her this is last thing which he does. Suddenly he feels as something hit this throat.
Catwoman puts him on bed covering him. Then she wears his clothes and takes his gun and some keys. She leaves closing cell door. She walks pretending to be guard.
-Spill it into water and give women from cell 6 soon they take a part into photo session-she hears as someone tells it to other guard. He takes some vials and mugs and goes to cell 6.
Catwoman assumes that after this photo session women will be taken somewhere else and this can be her chance of escaping she follows him.
Finally he stops before cell and spills vials into mugs. Suddenly he feels gun at his back.
- Don’t do anything stupid open this cell slowly and inside- she tells him as she pushes him inside where women are.
- You two tie him- she orders surprised women
- Who are you?- says one of them.
- We don’t have much time you can wait here or go with me- says Catwoman.
- Don’t listen her she is with them she kidnaps me to this place- says Halina.
- Unfortunatelly I was kidnapped with you too. You have reason not to believe me. But here is my proof I hear that someone order this grunt to spill this vial to water because all of you will have special photo session. So Iet him it- tells Catwoman while trying to force guard to drink mug with water- if this is usual water while he resist- she adds then she takes a piece of cloth and gags him.
- As I say you can wait till someone other come or go with me- says Catwoman.
- Let say that you speak truth I go with you.- says Halina.
All of women leaves silently cell and follows Catwoman. Who when they reach end of corridor with closed door stops them. She walks to door and tries to open it with keys. She hears guard voices on other side of door.
-Damn it Kitty show them your lockpick skill because this is the end of great escape- thinks Catwoman while working at door with pincer.
Finally she manages to open door and crawls inside. There she sees two guards playing card game and corridor which lead to courtyard with open gate. She silently crawls back.
-Here is a plan we run as fast as possible from this guard room and corridor to courtyard where is opened gate I will take care guards- says Catwoman.
Women goes silently into unfortunately Halina nerves breaks and she runs before Catwoman. One of guard grabs her and rush back pushing button. While other tries to stop escaping women. Catwoman shots to them.
-Damn it some darts- she thinks she and others runs as fast as possible. She hears some whistle and sees some falling women with darts. She turns back and shoots to assailant trying to cover other.
Suddenly she feels as something pricks into her arm she sees two darts. She staggers three steps then darkness embrace her.
Warsaw Pawiak prison unit Serbia- part of prison in which were kept arrested women and after court sentence.
Catwoman wakes up in prison cell so much for such great escape she thinks.
She hears as door to her cell are opened and man who wears suit comes inside. Who the hell lawyer thinks Catwoman.
-section commander you can close door- orders man.
-Judge Izdebski I assume that you are Selina Kyle known as Catwoman- he says.
-I’m sorry but you mistake me with someone else I demand contact with british embassy- says Catwoman.
-Of course Miss Kyle but I don’t know if diplomat from british embassy helps you they don’t usually help people who miss their job . You are in isolation cell and I could believe you but unfortunately for you I have two witness who can prove your true name and surname. Let me show you this information which I get from police. I assume that you don’t know polish language so there is written that someone whose description is the same as you visits known fence on Praga. And second…
-At first this is mistake your informant mistakes me with someone other show me this second witness- says Catwoman.
-Section commander lead witness here- says judge.
After opening door to cell comes Hexana.
-I see her first time- says Selena Kyle.
-Oh no you see me second time first time I see you in Zachęta where you put to sleep woman then we were both put to sleep by some crooks- says Hexana.
-Section commander takes witness out- says judge- So I can believe you that this is mistake too and this lady mistake you. So allow me to take your fingerprints if I have a good memory Catwoman was arrested in Belgium and police from this country has her fingerprints. In gallery police finds one piece of rag and takes fingerprint. As you know fingerprints can be falsify so if you are not Selena Kyle…-says judge.
-All right let play in open card I’m Selena Kyle- says Catwoman- but I want to speak with someone who is up in hierarchy and please take into consideration that I’m victim of crime.
-I take it into consideration. But facts are that you tried to steal painting and during this someone interrupt it or maybe your coworker decide that better for him is to steal painting and sell it and don’t divide with partner. Fortunately for you someone prove this part of story in which you are victim. Among this women who escapes was cop who infiltrate web of whiteslavers and disappear. This can be a favour for you during trial- says judge.
-The villain who kidnaps me and this other woman is Dr Anesthethic who is hired usually for kidnapping people and interrogate them. Sometimes he steals arts especially XVI century paintings. From this what I hear this is his rent when he finishes his activity. Nobody knows his face but I can’t helps you in catching it- says Sylena Kyle.
-Interesting and you escape from such skilled criminal I don’t believe in your story- says judge.
- Yes this can’t be interesting for you but what about documents from bag with description geheim which I steal from house of professor Halsbach who has a rank of general in reichswehra. I think that this documents can be interesting for your intelligence service- says Sylena Kyle- My price is simple releasing from prison and clean passport and help with leaving your state.
-Yes this can be interesting and I inform about this my superiors and they decide but they have to check this documents in order that they are worth and not falsify.- says judge while leaving cell.
15 hours earlier in dr Anesthethic hideout
-About three are shot with tranquility darts. Two escape in car one is shot I send men who are looking for car. Two are shot in courtyard and guards carry them to cell. One is caught at the beginning of escape- says Links
-Who escape?-asks Dr Anesthethic
-One of them is Catwoman and other is unknown woman whose they sends her from Wilno in last transport while they saw that she asked to much question. She isn’t interrogated.- says Links.
-My mistake so let see this who they catch at the beginning- says dr Anesthethic while they go into guardroom.
Dr Anesthethic saw Halina who shouts to him that cops will find him soon.
-Such a words but can you confirm it- he says while taking from his bag small canister. He puts it into Halina direction and pushes it. Green gas hits her dr Anesthethic sees as her eyes flutter and closes.
-Take her to chair. I think that I shall interrogate her personally.- he says.
30 minutes later.
Halina wakes up on armchair. She tries to move legs and hands which tied to armchair similar to this is dentist room.
-Sorry for such bad waking up but I have some question-says Dr Anesthethic who comes to her with syringe and makes her injection.
-I….will not- slurs Halina while fighting with drugs. Soon he legs and hands gives up her head falls back. Her eyes flutters dr Anesthethic slaps her into chic and begin asking questions which she answers sleepily.
-One last question do you think that you deserve nice nap- says Dr Anesthethic while spilling on rag something.
-I…think…so- slurs Halina, then she feels sweet smell and nothing.
-Take her to special wing and interrogate other prisoners after they wakes up- says Dr Anesthethic.
Then he goes to his room where wait two angry Germans.
-Catwoman escapes but we will find her soon and bring back eventually…-says Dr Anesthethic.
-Eventually what we pay you for kidnapping and interrogating Catwoman and you says that you men bring her back- says Matzig.
-At first they escape in your car which was with keys. And I assume you that she comes back. Soon or later. Why question of pride she feels humiliated I know this kind of woman and second I have something which she yearns-says Dr Anesthethic- this is matter of time. Bydeway I hope that your side will fulfill their part of bargain.
-Only after you fulfill your part- says Matzig.
Some quarter later
-So says dr Anesthethic while his trustful henchman Links comes to his bureau.
- The other prisoners tells the same it seems that she tells truth- says Links- I send a word to our friends in nearby towns so if anyone of them shows there we will know. I send warning to some “friendly” cops so if they know something they tell us.
-From what says this woman which we kidnaps from gallery she is somekind of specialist in art. I think that I change a mind about her she can be useful. She says that her papers are in pension in room in which she lives with other student. Fortunatelly this pension is in the same building which is our next target. We strike after two days.
-Unfortunately chief we have a delay there is cops action in Lublin and Warsaw and we loose contact with falsifier who prepares for us ID.
- Is this action are connected with our operation?- asks Dr Anesthesia.
-No it is other matter it seems that police doesn’t know have much knowledge what we prepare maybe unclear clues.
-So let assume that after these runners goes into police station they begin connect this unclear clues. And they can find us. We can run our strike. All right try to find contact with this falsifier eventually with other. I know that this can be difficult but I have faith with you- says Dr Anesthethic.
-After strike we will leave this country for a long time- tells dr Anesthethic- bydeway I think that we shall be prepared for guest order guards to be on high alert I want to know everything about unusual people who comes in area in which is our hideout.
Warsaw Chłodna street- Cold street may 1926
-I don’t like it there is too many people engaged in it- says one of thug
-Links says that this is our biggest operation- says other thug.
-And I don’t like it too many people biggest chance that one of them spill his tongue- says first of them.
-Cops are too busy now- says Links- enough shut your mouth.
After two hours trying to get past traffic jams the truck turns into street when they see shots not far from them and sees infantry company who splits when soldiers sees truck and put rifles into truck direction.
-What the hell is going on- says driver while officer goes into truck direction.

- We work in transport Milewski company and we have to get to Chmielna- says driver.

Pension in Chmielna Street in Warsaw is known for high standard. Even polish writer Aleksander Głowacki knows as Bolesław Prus use it as example for school about which he writes in his novel tittled The New Woman. Not long before this story begin in 1924 someone establish in the same building ballet school in which young women who wants to find jobs into polish movies learns how to dance. So let go inside such famous building descripted in polish literature. We can see in one room as group of women trains dancing under watchful eyes of trainer, unknown to them some other people watch them with specifically interest.

- I can’t guarantee this on 100% percent- says dr Anesthethic.

He leaves his guests wondering while his men are so late. He comes to window and sees that truck goes inside to. He runs down on yard.

-Don’t you hear shootings there is fighting in capital we have to turn around infantry and paramilitary formations- says Links.
-This make enterprises more difficult but we can’t withdraw you know what to do- says Dr Anesthethic
They carry to basement of building about three canisters
-Insert them there and there- says caretaker.
At the building dr Anesthethic looks at watch and opens his suitcase and gives three masks to merchants and director four wears he.
In next room two secretaries are busy preparing diploma and other documents for graduating students. Rywka yawns feeling really tired. Strange she thinks the letters on documents which she is writing begin swims into her eyes. Other secretary falls and lies her head on typewriter which doesn’t stop. Surprised Rywka head also fall on typewriter her eyes flutter and closes.
In other part of building in class room trainer Alina sees that her students are tired. She feels tired too.
-All right rest till I comes back- she says while leaving classroom and going to secretary room in order to goes to her room and make and drink some coffe. When she goes on corridor suddenly woman who stand near wall cupboard falls on her.
-Are you all right?- she asks her and is surprised that this woman is sleeping soundly.
She looks at corridor which is blurry. She tries to run to secretary room but finds that her legs are so heavy. She wobbles from one wall of corridor to other. Until she reaches secretary room. She almost collapse when she opens door but with her weak hands catch furniture.
Where…is…key she thinks finally she takes it with great difficulties she pushes door and almost collapses she gets up puts key into locker and turns it.
Phone…call….who this is her last think when she collapses on floor sleeping soundly.
Dr Anesthethic wait three more hour till he hears knock to door. He gives a sign to his companions and takes off gasmask.
-I think that ladies doesn’t have anything against and don’t make trouble. I hope that you help my men carries them to truck.
Dr Anesthethic with thug who knocks to door goes down to reception desk when receptionist sleeps soundly He takes key to room in pension and goes on floor. After finding room he opens it.
-It seems that this ladies are caught while preparing tea. All right let take them too truck call other- he says while looking into room. After checking room he finds papers which he looks for and takes it.
-Chief we have a trouble- says one of man who approaches him-it seems that three targets somehow manage to escape.
After they check all rooms Dr Anesthesia and other men stand before secretary room while one of merchants tries to get inside.
-Do you have key to this room?- he shouts to director
-There is additional keys which belongs to secretaries- says director.
-Who can there be probably two secretaries and trainer- says dr Anesthethic- All right we finish.
-Are you mad they are on list-says one of merchant.
-My friend I have additional women who probably will meet standard of your boss. If they don’t I agree on lowering my payment. The problem is that one of them probably calls to police. I assume that she does it so better for me is to leave before cops come or someone else calls it. But you can try to get inside on your own.
After this argument all of them leaves building.
5 days later Dr Anesthethic hideout evening.
Dr Anesthethic is nervous operation is success and sending kidnapping women to their new “home” is going well but something bothers him. While nobody tries to dismantle operation why it goes to easy or maybe cops has a mole inside his organization. He hears as his assistant and second hand Links comes inside.
-Nobody except this plane which flights from time to time. There is last transport…-he says while he is interrupted by ringing phone.
-Yes finally- says Dr Anesthethic- all in place it seems that we have expected visitors.
Outside of hideout.
Hexana Catwoman and two cops hides under cover watching walls of old Russian fort build in XIX century and rebuild in years following Bosnian crisis in 1908 and in hurry leaves by tsar army after making some destruction in first months of 1915.
-It seems empty maybe we are too late- says Hexana.
-I don’t think dr Anesthethic doesn’t finish fulfilling his part of bargaining so he probably is there. Ill climb there and checks what is going on- says Catwoman.
She stealthy move and after sometime she comes back.
-The guards who watches gate and terrain is down. The others are probably inside barracks and fortification- says Catwoman.
-All of you known plan I and cops tries to disrupt and capture henchmen and keeps their attention. You Catwoman goes by tunnel to undergrounds and if dr Anesthethic tries to escape there don’t let him. Engage him and his henchmen and doesn’t let him escape.
-Let do it- says Catwoman
Three women runs into wall and climbs on other side while Catwoman goes into direction of river and swims then dives she and swims into corridor she swims up and takes a breath of air.
After climbing on wall Hexana Alina and Anna jump on other side of courtyard. They carefully watch and run under wall near door.
-If plans are correct and nothing is rebuild when we go straight this corridor we goes to place which connects corridors to wings of barrack and further are doors and stairs to basement in which they keep kidnapped women. Let go.
Soon they goes inside corridor and reach forking meanwhile Catwoman climbs into corridor which leads into basement.
-I hear something- says Alina.
-All right you two go into this corridor, I take this corridor- says Hexana who leaves them.

Dr Anesthethic henchmen goes walks to Hexana he opens bottle labeled ether and spill it on dustmask which covers her mouth and nose. Hexana tries to move her head trying to evade ineivitable.
