The Lone Rangerette and Tonta: The Beginning by The Harrpooner *********************************************************************** Based on characters created by MrX. *********************************************************************** For me everything must have a beginning, a middle and an end. The Lone Rangerette arrived a full-blown voluptuous heroine thanks to MrX. I've tried to do justice to his characters, but I feel they need an origin and this story is my attempt to create one. *********************************************************************** Dan and Shirley Reid had been married eighteen years when Kimberly was born. Their son Dan Jr. was sixteen and would graduate from school the following year. The prospect of raising another child might have upset the couple, but Dan Sr. was a captain in the rangers and the ranch they owned was doing well. Shirley was excited to finally have a daughter to sew for and spoil. In a few more years Dan planned to retire and as he put it become a 'gentleman rancher', letting someone else do the work while he lazed in a rocking chair and enjoyed his little girl. Three days later he was called to the commandants' office and told to form a patrol to go with an informant who would lead them to Butch Cavendish's hideout. Dan left the office and want to the barracks. The first man he picked was his younger brother John. He knew in a gunfight that John was second to none when it came to his ability to shoot. Picking the best four of the remaining men he told them to draw fifty rounds of ammunition, rations for a week and to saddle their best horse. Two hours later the group led by the informant rode away. Weeks later an Indian named Tonto delivered the news to the rangers that the patrol had been ambushed and all had been killed. He told them where he had buried the bodies and turned their guns, badges and horses over to the commandant. Shirley sold all the stock and left the ranch for a house in town after Dans' death. Dan Jr. graduated and went off to college to become a lawyer, fulfilling his fathers' wish. Kimberly grew into a loving child and gave Shirley a reason to smile again. *********************************************************************** It was late and six-year-old Kimberly was awakened by voices downstairs. She left her bed and curiously crept down to the kitchen. Her mother sat at the table with a big man wearing a mask and an Indian. The young girl padded softly across the floor and held her mothers' arm. "It's all right Kimberly. These men are our friends." Shirley said softly. The masked man and the Indian smiled at the little girl. After telling her what a pretty girl she was and how much she had grown, the adults continued their conversation. Kimberly sat on her mothers' lap and soon fell asleep. The next morning the men were gone and after asking a few questions, which her mother answered the best she could, the girl forgot about them. *********************************************************************** At the age of ten Kimberly heard a knock on the door. Her mother answered it and Kimberly peeked to see who had come to call. It was the masked man and his Indian friend. There was also a young Indian girl about Kimberlys' age with them. As she listened she heard the masked man say. "Shirley this girls' tribe was almost completely killed off by an outbreak of smallpox. Her parents were among the first to die. I brought her here because she needs love and care. And I couldn't think of another house that's so full of it." "Do you mean that you want me to raise her?" Shirley asked. "Oh Mama can we!" Kimberly burst into the room and took the Indian girls' hand. "She can be my sister!" She gushed. "How can I say no?" Shirley smiled at the masked man. "Of couse she can stay. What's her name?" "Bright Feather." Was his answer. The bond between the two girls was instantaneous. They talked as if they had known one another for years. Leaving the adults the two girls went up to Kimberlys' room and continued their chatter. "Thank you Shirley." Said the masked man. "John I've never seen Kimberly so excited. I should be thanking you." At the dinner table Kimberly asked her mother, "Mama, who is that masked man? And why did he bring Bright Feather here, to us?" "I think you are old enough to know Kimberly. What I tell you now will have to be our secret and you can't tell anyone. Do you understand?" Both girls somberly nodded as Shirley began her story. The tale of treachery and murder was told to the girls. Shirley had their complete attention as they were told of the birth of the Lone Ranger and his fight for justice. *********************************************************************** The summer Kimberly was twelve she and Bright Feather had become such tomboys that Shirley begged the Lone Ranger to help with the girls. He and Tonto took them into the mountains for a month. There, not knowing how to occupy the girls, they taught them to ride and how to handle firearms. The heros were pleasantly surprised to find how quickly the two took to the tasks. Kimberly was especially adept with a sixgun. As their time with the girls came to a close the men promised to return the following summer if Kimberly and Bright Feather obeyed their mother and kept their grades up at school. *********************************************************************** The time at school went slowly, but the girls worked diligently at their studies and were the top students in their class at the end of the year. They whispered late at night and pretended that Kimberly was the Lone Rangerette and Bright Feather was called Tonta. Kimberly had attained her height standing just under six feet tall, but her endowments had not completely shown themselves yet. Still she was an intimidating figure to the boys her age. That summer the girls were taken to Mexico. A gunsmith there who had built the Rangers' guns designed a duplicate pair for Kimberly that were balanced just for her. Bright Feather requested that hers be like Tontos. Holsters were made by a local leather shop and again duplicated the Rangers and Tontos. In addition to time spent becoming proficient with their own weapons the girls were taught how to track and spent hours learning the ways to determine whether they were still following the right signs. When the month was finished they again had mastered the training they had recieved. By now each of the girls had chosen her mentor and patterned herself after his example. At night Kimberly would talk to her uncle while Bright Feather discussed lessons of the day with Tonto. One night Kimberly promised her uncle that she would accept his code and never purposely kill. *********************************************************************** The following two summers the girls were disappointed that unforseen circumstances kept them from being with the Ranger and Tonto. But they were becoming young women and could understand the reasons. They knew their mentors were fighting outlaws and injustice. *********************************************************************** Kimberly and Bright Feather were sixteen when they next spent the summer with their heros. The Lone Ranger and Tonto were taken aback when they first sighted the pair. Two summers ago they had taken young girls with them. Now the two had blossomed into young women. Kimberly had taken after her mother and had developed a voluptuous chest in addition to her slim waist and shapley legs. Dressed in a grey ranger uniform of her fathers that had been tailored to fit her like a second skin, no one could doubt that she was a woman. A white hat, red kerchief and black boots left little doubt who she was imitating. Bright Feather had fashioned soft leather into a fringed vest that tied in front over her generous breasts and left her flat stomach bare. She also wore a fringed loincloth that reached her midthigh and was open on the sides for riding. Knee-high moccasins completed her outfit. The men hadn't been prepared for this, but had treated the two as daughters for so long that they said nothing about their attire. "Tonto and I have been talking and we feel that it's time each of you have a horse of your own." Said the Ranger. "I've talked to your mother and she said you could keep them at the ranch. It will give you a place to ride." The girls were euphoric as the group rode to the valley of wild horses. There atop a mesa they looked down into a herd of magnificent animals. "There are so many that look like Silver and Scout Uncle John!" Said Kimberly. "Tonto and I have had many horses Kimberly. When we retire one we come here and capture the next one we'll ride and return the older horse to the herd. Now the supply of whites and paints has grown so they're not so hard to find." The Ranger and Kimberly worked together as did Tonto and Bright Feather to capture horses that afternoon. That evening as they ate each girl watched the horse that would become her mount. The girls slept up-wind so the horses would get used to their scent. Days went by as the men taught the girls how to gentle break the horses. First getting a soft rope halter on them and leading the horse with it. Then blankets were laid on the horses' backs until they stopped bucking them off and allowed them to stay there. By the second week a saddle was added but not cinched and the process started over again. Finally the saddle was cinched and after the horse had gentled to the feel of it each girl stepped into the saddle. They were amazed at how little fuss the horses raised about having a rider on their back. Soon the girls rode beside their mentors and trained their horses to rein. Like the men they didn't use a bit. The training completed they rode to the ranch and worked until the stalls in the barn and the corral were ready for the horses. The men had one more surprise for Kimberly and Bright Feather. Stored in the barn were saddles that matched the ones that were on Silver and Scout. Their faces were red after the hugs they recieved from the young women as they mounted and rode away. "We haven't named our horses yet." Bright Feather said to Kimberly. "Yes we have." She replied. "You know what they'll be called." *********************************************************************** Kimberly and Bright Feather walked into the kitchen. Shirley looked at her daughters. They were eighteen and glowed with anticipation. The church was having an ice-cream social tonight to celebrate their up-coming school graduation. "You're sure you'll be there Mama?" Asked Kimberly. "Your Uncle John and Tonto will be here for your graduation and you know how they enjoy apple pie. I just want to get things together to bake then I'll be right there. I shouldn't be more than an hour. It'll take the preacher that long to get things started." Shirley said as she herded the girls out the front door. She watched proudly as the two young women walked toward town until she could no longer see them. She went into the kitchen, took down a large bowl and went out the back door to the root cellar and filled it with apples to pare. As she walked back into the kitchen she saw a stranger sitting at her table. "Who are you and what are you doing in my house?" She said with as much bravado as she could muster. The man was of average height and build and wore a brown suit with a checkered vest. His mustache was waxed and turned up in what was called a handle-bar. He smiled easily at Shirley and said, "They were right at the saloon when they said you were a right handsome widow woman. I'm sorry I missed your daughters but maybe they'll be back before we finish." Shirley could guess his intentions and threw the bowl at him as she ran for the back door. She slammed through the screendoor and was on the porch steps when he tackled her. As she landed on the ground his weight was on top of her and the impact knocked her unconscious. The man picked up the limp woman and carried her into the house. Checking through the rooms he found hers on the bottom floor and threw her on the bed. Working quickly he undressed her and using stockings tied her to the bed and gagged her. Standing back he admired her breasts. Even in her fifties they still didn't sag much. She wasn't fat like so many women her age and her legs were still attractive. Shirley moaned from the pain in her head as she regained consciousness. She became aware that she was on her bed and that she was tethered. She could see her naked breasts and feel the air on her skin, then she saw her attacker removing and neatly laying his clothing on a chair. "Oh good you're awake. I was afraid I might have to start by myself." The man chided. Nude he picked up a jar he had laid near his clothing, opened it and spread some of the contents on his penis. Putting it back on the chair he climbed on the bed and used his fingers to seperste her labia. Positioning his cock at the opening to her vagina he entered her. Shirley was thankful that he'd lubricated himself. She had been celebrate since Dans' death and her vaginal canal was extremely tight and sensitive. Her tormenter was leisurely fucking her and playing with her nipples as if he had all night. She wanted him out of her house before the girls came back looking for her and started to pump her hips against him. "So you really do like it!" The man said as he increased his speed to match the womans thrusts. Within minutes he pulled his cock from her and spurted his seed on her stomach. He climbed off the bed and went to the wash basin and cleaned himself before he dressed. Shirley felt a relief as she watched him get dressed. He should leave now that he was sated. She watched as he came back to the bed and leaned over her. As he kissed her on the forehead it felt as if he had nicked the side of her neck. When he stood up she could see the bloody straight razor in his hand. The man looked into the terrified eyes of his victim. He always enjoyed letting them see the razor. He hadn't cut her deep but within the hour she would bleed to death and he would be far away when her body was found. Washing the razor he put it in his pocket and left the house. *********************************************************************** "Mama. Everyone's waiting on you. Where are you?" Called Kimberly as she and Bright Feather entered the house. Getting no response the two went to the kitchen. Finding the broken bowl and the scattered apples they started searching the house. Kimberly found her nude mother tied to her bed a pool of blood beside her neck. She got a towl and pressed it to the small wound on Shirleys' neck then sent Bright Feather for the doctor. *********************************************************************** The next morning Kimberly and Bright Feather sat quietly watching their sleeping mother. The doctor had said another twenty minutes and she would've bled to death. Shirley had not regained consciousness yet to tell them what had happened. The marshal had been by after the doctor talked to him and wanted to talk to her when he could. A number of women in other towns had been attacked in the same way but none had lived. If Shirley could give him a description of her attacker he would be obliged. *********************************************************************** Kimberly answered a knock at the door. A distinguished looking gentleman with graying hair and a mustache stood before her. "How may I help you?" She asked. A familiar voice said, "Don't you recognize me Kimberly?" "Uncle John!" She managed as she slumped into his arms crying. "Kimberly what's the matter?" He asked with concern in his voice. Kimberly related the attack on her mother and her present condition. As she finished Bright Feather called her from the bedroom. They ran to her. Shirley sat awake on the bed. Bright Feather was crying as she held her. The three listened as Shirley quietly told them of her ordeal at the hands of the stranger. As she finished she described her attacker. After the exertion she felt weak and lay back on the bed and was soon asleep. "Kimberly I'm going to town. If I learn anything I'll tell you and the marshal before I do anything." Said her uncle as he left the house. A few hours later he returned. "Two men were in town last night that matched the description your mother gave us." He reported. One was a drummer who left for Colby, the other was a gambler who said he was going to Natchez. As soon as I change Tonto and I are going after the gambler. We'll contact you as soon as we know anything." With those words he left the house. As he left a group of church women arrived with food. Kimberly and Bright Feather thanked them for their concern. The women insisted that the two girls get out of the house for a while and let them watch over their mother. The two looked at each other as the same idea came to them. Thanking the women the two left the house. *********************************************************************** At the ranch the two young women changed into the clothing they had worn on the trail with the Lone Ranger and Tonto. Opening oiled bags they removed the guns inside, loaded them and placed them in their holsters. Next the horses were saddled and they started toward Colby. Outside Colby they took a few minutes to formulate a plan. Bright Feather would check the hotel to see if the drummer was registered. If so they would confront him and take him back to the marshal. Before she rode away Bright Feather handed Kimberly something. "For luck." She said. Urging her Paint she rode into town. Kimberly looked at the thing in her hand. It was the mask she had made when she and Bright Feather played as kids. Removing her hat she pulled her hair back and tied it into a ponytail then slipped the mask on. It still fit. In no time her sister had returned. "He's registered but they said he was not in his room. I checked to be sure and it's empty. You look good wearing that." She added when she noticed the mask. "Is there a place where we can watch the room without being seen?" Asked Kimberly. "Sure follow me." Bright Feather led the way down a back street then between two buildings. Dismounting the two stood in the shadows and she pointed to the hotel. The top floor. That window in the middle, that's his room. There was no light showing and they settled down to wait. After a couple of hours they saw the flicker of a match then the glow of a lamp in the window. "How did he get in? I didn't see anyone go into the hotel." Said Kimberly. "He must have gone up the back stairs." Answered Bright Feather. The two crossed the street and went to the back of the hotel. Taking care not to make any noise they climbed the stairs to the second floor and found the door to the drummers' room. Listening they could hear the muffled sound of a woman inside the room. Kimberly tried the door and found it was open. Pushing it in the two women rushed into the room with their guns drawn. On the bed was the drummer and a woman. Both were nude and the woman was tied spread-eagle, with a gag in her mouth. "Get off her and put your clothes on!" Kimberly ordered the drummer. He quickly complied never taking his eyes off the young masked woman. Bright Feather untied the woman who with the gag off was crying and telling how she had been abducted and brought to the room unconscious. When she awoke, her kidnapper was lighting a lamp and she was nude. He had just started to rape her when the two women broke into the room. "It's a lie!" Protested the salesman. "I paid her for her services. She's just embarrassed to be caught like this." He continued as he put his hand in his pocket. His hand emerged and the sight of a razor in his hand brought a scream from the woman. Kimberlys' gun roared and the razor flew from his hand. He was nursing it as Bright Feather tied him up. The gunshot had awakened the hotel patrons and they were beginning to fill the hallway. "Someone will be here shortly to help you." Said Kimberly to the woman. "Tell the sheriff what he tried to do to you and have him check the surrounding towns. He's probably done the same thing to other women." Kimberly and Bright Feather left the room and hurried down the steps just as the first people found their way into the room where the woman was screaming for help. They mounted their horses and headed for home satisfied with their nights work. *********************************************************************** The next day as Kimberly sat with her mother her uncle entered the room. "Have you heard?" He asked "They caught your mothers' attacker in Colby last night. The poor woman with him was babbling about a masked woman and Indian having saved her. You wouldn't know anything about it would you Kimberly?" Her face beamed as she said, "It was us Uncle John. Bright Feather and I. We used all that you and Tonto taught us and we captured him. We want to be like the two of you and go after outlaws. We've talked to Mama about it and she understands. She says it runs in the family." "Well Kimberly that's your decision, but Tonto and I are retiring. We're getting older and it's becoming tougher to ride the long hours we have in the past. After your graduation we're leaving for San Francisco to open a restuarant. I've worn the mask for the last time" *********************************************************************** John Reid and his Indian companion stood outside the stagecoach office. Their coach was due to take them to the railway station in Colby. He heard a "Pssst" from beside the building. Curious he and Tonto went to investigate. Kimberly and Bright Feather stood with their horses. Kimberly was masked. "We couldn't let you leave without saying good-bye." She said. "How can we ever thank you for all you have taught us and the deed to the silver mine." As he hugged the girls John said, "Just take good care of yourselves. Remember outlaws respect no one, man or woman. So be carefull." After an exchange of hugs and kisses among the four friends the two young women mounted their horses and rode away. John smiled. As Kimberly turned and waved he heard a feminine, "Hi-Yo Silver away!" *********************************************************************** The Beginning
